Baani is Waaheguru. Guru Gobind Singh as a person was not waaheguru, because he was born and passed away; Waaheguru is never born and never passes away.

The first pauri of Jap Ji Sahib counters this. Akaal Purakh is Ajooni Sai Bhan, not part of the cycle of birth and death. Also Guru Sahib calls himself the Dhoor or the dust of the feet of the holy. Guru Nanak Dev Ji calls himself Waahehuru's servant, he calls himself Daasan Daas, the slave of the slaves of Akaal Purakh.

Baani is alive for ever, which is Guru.

Could you please provide proof where Baani says Guru Sahib was an avtar of Waaheguru, plz, because this would go against everything I believe as a Sikh.

Seems like some GURSIKHs are getting off the main point with which this thread was started. But any discussions as long as its CONSTRUCTIVE is very good as we need such discussions. It would be nice if another thread is started about something that evolves off of a main point being stated in current thread.

dasam paatshai and guru nanak dev ji were not akaal. if pelay paatshai were, then where did they go, wen they disappeared for 3 days by that river?

in 1 of dasam paatshai's bani, they said "he who thinks i am akaal, ar completely mistaken" (or smin like that anyway)

also, in zafranama, dasam paatsahi says that "how cud u (aurangzeb) have harmed me, wen i had akaal on my side?" (smin like that anyway)

and "he who has akaal on their side, not a hair on their body is harmed" (smin like that anyway)

my point being that guru ji isnt akaal, and they themselves hav clarified that as well
