how do we go about finding out how to do a gianiship?

is it a course? do we go india? random gurdwra? does taksaal do it? are the giani ship courses different according do different maryadas??

IS THERE 1 IN THE UK?? if so, where?

how long does it take?

what other questions may suround this topic? i.e. anything else i might need to know??

Strictly speaking, there is no such thing. However, you can go to the Taksals at Bhindran or Boparai - will take years to learn Santhiya, Katha, puratan Maryada etc. You will not be allowed to do parchar until the Mahapursh there deem you to be ready.

Sikh missionary colleges have courses, but they seem (IMHO) very shallow and lacking in spiritual knowledge and experience.

The best thing to do is teach the basics to the youth (over and over and over until they actually do the basics), we dont need all these people claiming to be giani when the youth ruin the whole thing from ignoring the basics, if you got millions that cant do the basics then what good is it to teach people things that they dont even follow the first 5%???????
