The King of Kings, supporter of the weak, destroyer of the tyrants, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee is being remembered throughout the world for their unparallel contribution and sacrifice in this world. At the tender age of just 9 years Guru Gobind Singh Ji suggested to his father Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib jee to give themselves up as a sacrifice to defend the right to practice one's chosen faith, on that instance it being the Hindu faith that was under duress. Then the founding of the Khalsa Panth, formalising a people under one united order and initiating the power of guruship to the Panj Piyare and Khalsa Panth.

Followed at Chamkur Sahib, the shahadat of their two elder sons Sahibzade Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh and then Sahibzade Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh just shortly afterwards. Accolades are given to those that sacrifice just one member of their family, with what words do we describe our debt to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji who sacrificed their father, mother and four children for the freedom of the Sikh Nation and Humanity.

Guru Gobind Singh Jee never compromised their ideals and always confronted the oppressor directly and never played second fiddle. Even after receiving the news that both Sahibzada Ajit Singh and Sahibzada Jujhar Singh had attained Shaheedi, Guru Ji drew an arrow and fired it into the oncoming enemy forces with the symbolic message that a Sikh may die physically but his spirit and determination in holding up their beliefs can never be boken.

Furthermore, Guru Sahib founded the world Renowned DamDami Taksal at Sabo Ki Talwandi (now known as Sri Damdama Sahib) which gave birth to many prominent and inspiring personalities such as Baba Deep Singh, Bhai Mani Singh, Baba Gurbaksh Singh and in modern times, Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale and Bhai Amrik Singh who also headed the once powerful All India Sikh Students Federation whilst playing a influential role within the Taksal in the 1980's. All of the above mentioned Singhs of the Taksal gave their lives fighting to defend the ideals of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Jee of freedom, equality and respect, whilst preaching the word of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee through Kirtan, Katha and Santhiya.

Guru Gobind Singh jee also declared Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee as the only living guru after themselves and finished the practice of Human Guru's within the Sikh Nation at Sri Hazur Sahib.

May Sri Guru Gobind Singh jee bless their Panth with the knowledge and power to confront the enemies of the Guru Shabad and Khalsa Panth.
