Bhajee we can assure you that all Shabads will be sung in the title Raag alone - this is the first thing said when approaching any Raagi Jatha. Before approaching any jatha's, we consulted older Gursikhs that have Raag Vidiya and only on their say so alone, were any Jatha's confirmed.

If possible, please try your best to attend the program and let us know how you find it!

Some sevadaars from Leicester attended the Raag Darbar held at Guru HarRai Sahib Gurdwara (Oct/Nov time) and were so impressed and inspired, that they approached Leicester Sikhs with an idea of having a Raag Darbar in Leicester. After receiving permission and support from the Leicester Gurdwara Committee and with the aid of some of those that attended that Raag Darbar in Bham and others, by Christmas 2009, the Raag Darbaar in Leicester was confirmed for 30th Jan (including nearly all keertani jathae).

Just after New Years, we were informed by one of the organisers of the Birmingham programme (who has been instrumental in assisting us for the Leicester programme) that there could possibly be a Keertan Darbaar (as opposed to a Raag Darbar) at Guru HarRai Sahib Gurdwara on the same day. It is only last Friday that we were informed that it was a Raag Darbaar in Bham and not just a Keertan Darbaar.

We would prefer that there is no clash, but having persuaded the Committee to have a programme and having all Jathae confirmed for about a month, we do not believe it's appropriate for Leicester Sangat to re-arrange their programme. Also, if its Hukam that 2 Raag Darbaars will be taking place on the same day in Midlands, then we truly wish that both are successful and that more such Raag Darbaars are conducted up and down the country in the future.
