Just to add my worth on this, some Gurdwara offer Cha as Langar so is that not Beadbi?

Talking in scientific language ,Tea contains 6to 8% NICOTINE ( A Narcotic which is

found in tobbaco) ,3 to 5% caffeine(found in coffee) and lein 3%. Amongst all these

chemical components lein is most dangerous which deposits in intestines like dark

brown shade in the tea pan if it is not washed for 3to 4 times after making tea.

And deposit of this chemical after some years causes acidity in stomach permanently.

However we can save ourselves from this problem by not drinking tea made by boiling

the tea leaves and take only DIP DIP TEA because lein is dissolved only after boiling a few

seconds continuously.

However some sectors in SIKHISM like AKHAND KIRTNI JONATHAN, TAKSAL and late

Baba AJEET SINGH JI NATHALPUR have been condemning use of tea saying that tea

is made after mixing it with tobacco ( Tambakoo di putthh )which may have been told

in simple lay men language after having knowledge by reading scientific literature.

Since Coffee does not contain Nicotine, no such objection has been raised

by any sector.

Guru roop sadh sangat ji I have tried my best to explain but may I be wrong also

and paaji yeah i was reading baba ajit singh nathmalpur wales bachan and they drinking tea is like a bajjar kurehat. a sikh after taking amrit who drinks it isnt a sikh they say ... :o so many of us including daas has had tea after taking amrit!i new it was discouraged i didnt know it was classed as a genuine nasha but i see how theyre right in a way...

ਬਾਬਾ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ:-

• ਭਾਈ ਅਪਣਾ ਖਾਣਾ-ਪੀਣਾ,ਪਹਿਨਣਾ-ਪਹਿਨਾਉਣਾ,ਬੋਲਣਾ-ਬਲਾਉਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰੋ-ਵਿਹਾਰ ਗੁਰ ਮਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਭਲਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਅਸੀ ਸਿਖ ਹੋਵਾਂਗੇ|ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਿਖ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਅਸੀ ਪਾਖੰਡੀ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਕੀ ਨਾ ਸਾਡਾ ਖਾਣਾ-ਪੀਣਾ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ ਨਾ ਪਹਿਨਣਾ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਬੋਲਣਾ|
• ਭਾਈ ਅਸੀ ਦੋਹੇ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ 'ਚ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਚਾਹ,ਮਿਰਚ,ਮਸਾਲਾ,ਆਦਾ,ਲੱਸਣ,ਪਿਆਜ ਇਹ ਛੇ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਘਰੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਦਿਉ|ਇਹਨਾਂ ਛੇ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਣ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ ਤਨ,ਮਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੁਖੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,ਡਾਕਟਰ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ|
• ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਰੋ-ਵਿਹਾਰ (ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਗਮੀ ਹੋਵੇ) ਗੁਰਮਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰਨੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ|ਗੁਰਮਤ ਨਾਲ, ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਦਾਂ ਹੈ, ਮਨਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਨਾਲੋ ਵਿਛੜ ਜਾਦਾਂ ਹੈ|
• ਨਾ ਜੰਝ ਲਜਾਈਏ ਨਾ ਮੰਗਵਾਈਏ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਅਸੀ ਸਿਖ ਹੋਵਾਂਗੇ|
• ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸਭ ਤੋ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ|ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਉਪਰ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ,ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ|ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਏ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰੀਏ ਖੁਦਾ,ਅੱਲਾ,ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ,ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਦਾਂ ਹੈ|
• ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਤੰਰ ਗੁਰ-ਮਤੰਰ ਹੈ,ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਜਪਣ ਨਾਲ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਹੋ ਜਾਦਾਂ ਹੈ,ਅਧਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਦਾਂ ਹੈ,ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾਂ ਹੈ|
• ਮਨ ਤੂੰ ਜਿਤਣਾ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ ਹਾਰਨਾ ਸਿਖ ਲੈ|
• ਭਾਈ ਅਸੀ ਸਭ ਤੋ ਵੱਡੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ,ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਅਸੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਅਦਾਲਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਧੱਕੇ ਖਾਦੇਂ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ|
• ਭਾਈ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਾ ਪਾਉ,ਨਾ ਪੁਆਉ|ਅਸੀ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਉਦੇਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾ ਲੈਣਾ|
• ਭਾਈ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ(ਡੰਗਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ),ਠੇਕੇ,ਅਹਾਤੇ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ|
• ਚਾਹ ਸਿਖ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬਜ਼ਰ ਕੁਰਾਹਿਤ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਸਿਖ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਛੱਕ ਕੇ ਚਾਹ ਪੀਦਾਂ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਿਖ ਨਹੀ ਹੈ,ਇਹ ਲੰਗਰਾਂ ਵਿਚੋ ਵੀ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ|
• ਧਰਮਾਂ ਪਿਛੇ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ|ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਵਿਚ ਪੱਕਾ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ|ਦੂਜੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ|
• ਭਾਈ ਪਾਠੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਪੈਸਾ ਨਹੀ ਦੇਣਾ(ਨਾ ਪਾਠੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ) ਜਿਹੜਾ ਚੜਾਵਾ ਚੜਿਆ ਉਹ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਭਾਂਵੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ,ਮੰਦਰ,ਮਸਜਿਦ,ਮਸੀਤ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਧਰਮ ਹੇਤ ਅਪਣੀ ਮਰਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਲਗਾਵੇ|ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ|

Since from thier birth all sewaks are dong nishkam sewa.

Nobody could write thier complete mehma only babaji can give blessing so that one could write down some pages.............

i say i agree with amarjit bhenji that it is called a nasha by sum because we get addicted to it and when we stop, like paretns tried to do they got headaches so its prefered that we do not drink it
