Is Sikhi A Missionary Religion

Namdharis and randhasoamis know about sikhism very well. They have opened their own shops and their followers are more from Hindus than sikhs.

You can try to convert them back. Try it.

Every religion has good and bad people. Do not classify all Muslims or Christians as bad and do not call all sikhs as saints.

It depends upon an individual's lifestyle whether he follows his religion properly. We should introspect ourselves first where we

stand.

all sikhs are not saints, but we should know what the truth is and what is a lie.  If all religions be true then it really doesn't matter if sikhi is a missionary religions all the paths will lead to God.  But what about the religions that are started these days are they true to like people claiming to be bhagat ravidas or people claiming to be reincarnation of someone.  There are 100s of people like this.  I heard in katha of Maskeen Ji that there were over 80 people just in india claiming to be God.  We have to set a standard to say what is true or not, if not then we can't claim anyone is worng and missionary activity is not needed then.

Sikhi is born because it has very rare uniqueness or treasure what others don't have BUT that doesn't give us the authority to ridicule other dharam no matter how big, small, whether documented or undocumented mistakes they may have. Let it be the job of Waheguru to do judging. We can't/shouldn't/must not judge any person in any condition but insteadhere weare trying to judge a whole different religion.

Bookish knowledge is important but keep it in under check. One may have knowledge of all scriptures/books/history but there is whole another study to do on where to apply or participate your "book" gained knowledge. It can cause many damages and there are many examples in our community; gurinder singh mann, harjinder singh dilgeer etc... Don't indulge into endless arguments. We should try to keep our haumai in control and try to be civil with each other..

Let me finish up saying that it is our great karam of our past janam(s) that we are born or following sikhi as our guru sahib jee instructed. What others are doing is none of our concern unless you are physically/mentally/emotionally @ bharamgyani avastha level.

VSingh, can you point out where I or anyone else have ridicule or passed judgement?

Please read all posts from the beginning carefully and you will find yourselves.

Sikhism respects belief system of every individual. Our Guru sahiban message was to humanity to shun false practices and

remember God with devotion by Naam simran, respect all humans as they originate form one God.

An impression is being created by some here that all other religions are evil and only sikhism is supreme.

Gurbani is being distorted to impose personal views. This is certainly not a sikh way.

Introspect yourselves before bashing others. Those who have progressed in spirituality do not indulge in this

type of cheap rhetoric and do not condemn anyone be they Hindus, Muslims or Christians. It takes

decades to gain knowledge of others scriptures and posting second hand quotes from internet is condemnable.

.

Let us respect humanity as every one originates from the same source. Our ardas ends with " Sarbat da Bhala".

Let us keep it that way.
