Support The Innocent Sikh Prisoners In Jails Across India

Sikh Organisation for Prisoner Welfare - You guys are doing an amazing seva, some of the prisoners have been in jail for so long with no end in sight, its unbelievable. Keep up the good work and lets get more of these Singhs supported and released.

We urge all Sikhs, even if you are sceptical about donating there is a whole range of seva you can do for the prisoners without donating money, recently SOPW volunteers went out and actually met Sikhs in jails across Delhi (Tihar), you can write to them etc

Could you provide details of the prisoners, their names, how long they have been in prison etc?

Financial support is not the only thing you can provide to these prisoners, please write and upload your letters to the site which will be forwarded to the prisoners, this helps boost morale of these Singhs who have been imprisoned and FORGOTTEN for upto 20years.

We support approximately 100 Sikh Political prisoners in India (number subject to change as result of bail outs and new arrests)

We have started to translate and publish letters from prisoners (from whom we have received consent):

We are also sending out questionnaires/surveys next month or so to all the supported to prisoners, for them to share their cases with the sangat

Please come forward if you wish to do any seva (writing to prisoners, volunteering with sopw etc), sponsoring prisoners or their families is also possible, we actively encourage the sangat to be in contact with the Singhs and their families.
