whats wrong in asking? just because he asked this, doesnt mean hes a nang. some people have PM'd me before asking if i am a 60 year old buddha on this site, who follows rehat because of the posts i send (i didnt think they were that good as others), but just because i post, doesnt mean i am a pooran gursikhs. nearly everyone here knows i am 15 year old moona from leicester, england.

so how does this apply to this topic?

i have asked myself this question many times (why sant ji was at darbar sahib) , its good aman asked here. this is a forum site, not a school playground (where some kids end up fighting).

bhai sahib, this is a forum site where gyan ought to be shared out, to unite sikhi and get khalsa raj. the panth is facing many difficulties, and the sewadars here are doing the best they can to...

a. show us light (gyan)

b. make sikhi cool for the youth (always has been, always will be), but bhai sahib, amongst the fighting we have with main people like badal and his crew vs SGPC crew, theres more to sikhi than politics.

by getting gyan, we unite and get khalsa raj. by fighting we are just dogs guru ji will not care for us.

stop the attacking and lets unite.

one of my friends once asked me based on what she had learned: why did sant jee go to akal takht sahib wen he knew days before that the government wanted him?wouldnt the destruction of akal takht sahib been prevented if he had went somewhere else?

as im still learning about 1984 and i wasnt sure what to tell her...could anyone pls give some feedback on her questions...i would also like to know :wub: ...

sant jarnail singh jee did not go to sri akal takhat sahib days before the attack. sant jee was there months (dont know exactly how long) before the attack. but either way, the government was 'coming to get him' and there wouldve been destruction somewhere. whether it be at mehta, sri anandpur sahib or sri harimandar sahib. on top of all that, the government didnt attack sri harimandar sahib to 'capture' or '--' sant jee (im sure that was one incentive), but the government attacked to strike at the heart of sikhs. keep in mind that the attack occured during gurparab of sri guru arjan dev jee so just imagine how much sangat was at sri darbar sahib. now you tell me if the govt attacked to 'get' sant jee or if they attacked to -- as many sikhs as they could at one time. hope that helps....

he was in there because the last people who interviewsed him were interviewed on a bbc4 documentry on gandhi. they were afetr him because...

a. he spoke against indira gandhi.

b. gandhi saw him as a threat to her authority.

but why the day of the gurpurab, i still have no idea.

the main points as it where:

Indira Gandhi had asked the security forces in 2003 to create a plan of attack on Darbar Sahib complex, in November 83 a sikh in the major ranks of the forces was sacked.

they also had a full size replica of Darbar Sahib complex built for training, they trained on this 1 year or so before the attack! the troops where trained by British SAS and tanks, planes as well as planning was helped By russia(look at them know they have broken up in pieces, any way). the point is Shaheed Baba Jarnail singh did not go in to the complex until March 84 and the barrakades, reinforcements where built in April 1984.

it is therefore obvious she had planned to taredown Darbar Sahib No matter what. Any way they where on a Morcha, protest History also shows that during any protest if left long enogh thyey would have come out sometime, therefore the state terrorist didnt need to attack.

Akal Takth's role can be compared to that of the Queen of england as it is her primary role to protect the church, as it is the Saudi royal families role to protect islam, as it can be seen Akal Takath's role to protect the Sikh faith andd the Khalsa way of life!

and here to visit the darbar was rubbing salt in the wounds of sikhs, although on the other hand if that had not happened maybe shaheed Sukha singh, etc would not have assasinated her!

Hi, sorry im new to this website but it seems very intereting and helpful. Ive been reading the post and I was just wondering since saint ji was at the golden temple he didnt want to surender rather he stood up and faught i understand that but what I don't understand is if they were going to attack why would he stay their and fight when their was the risk why not stay at home and fight from their? Im still learning about 1984 so I was just a bit confused when I cam across this part hopefully you guys can help me thank you
