A friend is going to Punjab and has offered to bring me back whatever I need. Can anyone suggest any things to buy which are only available there? Apart from shastar. eg, books, items, etc. Also please suggest where to get good quality sarbloh kare.

thanks

I got my sarbloh kara from Patiala, Dukhniwaran Sahib. I'm not sure how to measure the quality, but they have a wide array of sarbloh kare, the shop number was 22 (I can verify if you need me to).

If I went I know I would get me more dastaar material for ghol-type dastaar, I have a few ghol dastaar type kapra, but they're very short. I only got nok when I went :-( big mistake. IIf you need another, maybe a chola or kurtha pajama?

As for books look at this thread:

For shaster, you really have to go yourself unless the person has a nice knowledge on shaster. f

I got them on the direct right side of The Gurudwara, the shops are numbered 1-25 or something like that. I think the Taksali shop is adjacent to the Gurudwara, I didn't get the chance to go there. Both of my visits were rushed.

Ok cool, I'm sure there will be some kare in any of them though. But if anyone has any special recommendations that would be interesting to know.
