Here is a picture book called 'Janga - Gur Patshahiyan Diyan'. It was published by SGPC around 1995, and contains summary of most of the important battles that our Sri Guru Sahibs Ji Maharaj fought with tyrants. These Saakhis are accompanied with beautiful illustrations which add to the reading experience, and im sure both young and not-so-young will enjoy this one
