Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh

As you all know that Sonia Deol made an appalling documentary regarding

the 1984 Attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib, and the Sikh Genocide.

She has been seen on Sangat TV as a presenter.

This is extremely appalling! Let's get her off!

Sonia Deol is just trying to cash in on Sangat TV fame. She wants to gain some fame and probably

want to progress her career through Sangat TV. Where was she untill now… How come she suddenly got interested?

I think Sangat TV will lose some credibility because of her presence as the whole Sikh community knows what she did in that BBC documentary.

Petition: We, the members of the Sangat, we demand Sangat Television not to allow Sonia Deol on Television,

or any job on the channel regardless if it is paid or on volunteer basis.

Sangat Television: Let's see if this is really the Sangat's Television channel.

PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION, WE WILL BE HANDING IN THE PETITION TO SANGAT TV THIS WEEK!

after sonia's documentry there was an excellent discussion live on the sikh channel.... on sonias facebook she was watching sikh channel live and she couldnt stresss enough she didnt have enough time in her documentry (this was a poor excuse as they use the time they did have to make sant ji look bad)....

I think, if sonia deol announces publically (ideally on bbc asian network or in a new accurate documentary) that:

1. her documentry was short of many crucial facts

2. she expresses that it portrayed sant ji in the wrong light

and if she could also explain she shouldnt have asked mark tully about bluestar because

3. he has only ever said negative things about sikhs.

4 he wasnt at darbar sahib during operation bluestar so he can only tell the indian gvt side of the story... to date the sikh story has not been told. he did not know what was happening inside sri darbar sahib yet in his interviews he acts like hes an expert when he wasnt even there... all journalists were forced to leave

5 if she could explain that tully has changed his story many times about his foot/toe touching/nearly touching sant jis teer / sword and santji/ gen shahbeg singh looked at him furiously. (the / indicates the different versions tully has told his fabricated story)

6 she should also say that general brar has given many different accoutns of what happened during bluestar. he says what is convenient at the time of the interview.

there is plenty of evidence on youtube to supprot the above particularly points 5 and 6.

if she admists the above points at least, then we should cut her some slack. until then she should not be representing sikhi.

I think the only person who came out badly out of that 1984 documentary was mark tully he came across fullly biased, and theres documentary evidence where he is highly biased towards hinduism so cant be imparital in his interviews regarding sant ji or Sikhs. He has discredited himself by his own biased words and coverage. Sonia i think did the best job she could under bbc editorship and guidelines of being impartiality. I stand by her if she wishes to make other documentaries on Sikhism as long as she consultants the community in regards to what would be acceptable to air and what wouldnt. Not everyone would agree, but thats life people have different opinions you cant force everyone to agree by threats or campaigns if you dont present your evidence for journalists and media presenters to look at when they making documentaries.

Instead of hating on Sonia, you guys should be concentrating on Mark Tullys discredited views and former army general Brar's state terrorist actions / crimes against humanity (murders of innocent pilgrim civilians, even prisoners who had surrendered).

Stop bashing people like Sonia, who are trying to being the debate to the public arena and raising awareness of the isses of 1984. Her documentary had faults but its our responsbility that next time such programs are made we the community are consulted so that we can share pieces of evidence they might want to cover to.

Well said! I sent her a respectful message on facebook regarding what you said, but she never replied back...
