Amritwela means the time between 12-6 in the morning?

I am a amritdhari person getting problem in making amritwela. When i wake up early, i can't do paath nicely because i feel sleepy.

Whereas while when i wake up according to my health permit to me then i can do paath very nicely and concentration and I feel this is amritwela for me.

But amritwela is between 12-6 in the morning rite.

So what should i do? make a habit of waking up early, then slowly i will adopt it and will able to do paath nicely?????????????

Do advice according to GURMAT.............

There are 8 types of amritvela. Please listen to japji sahib Katha by giani thakur Singh Jee where he explains what each of them are

The first is as everyone knows from 12 midnight till sunrise. Giani Ji said that door of sachkhand is fully open 12-4am. Then it gets closed half way till 5am. After 5am it is closed completely but a small window is kept open till sunrise. Once sun rises even that small window is closed

Another type of amritvela is when we read gurbani. This can be anytime during the day.

It is well known within the panth that rising early is one of the most important things for a sikh. Bhagat fareed Jee says

Fareedaa raat kathoori vandeai, suttea Miley naa bhao. Jinna nain nindravaley tinna Milan kuaoo.

Fateh ji

Amritvela is very important for a gursikh. Amritvela, ishnasn and naam jAp!

I think maybe try and go sleep earlier,,, to wake up earlier, and be more alert at amritvela which as mentioned above in Katha is between 12-4am...

Sleep is kaljug..fight it..do ardaas to guru ji who will help

U..as the rewards of amritvela naam jAp are above anything as a chardi kala gursikh who doesn't miss amritvela will tell u..and please fit in an ardaas for me too ;)

Naam simran is most effective and strong from 1am onwards, in my experience, it is millions of times stronger in the first 2- 2 and a half hrs a bit less in the next 2 and a half hrs and goes down from there for the next few hrs.

I didn't have an alarm to wake me up at 1am so stopped sleeping, did naam simran and if I fell asleep after a few hrs then I did. Now with God's grace I rarely sleep and am still doing naam simran if I do when I wake up or come out of Samadhi- attuning myself to the Truth frequency is enough for me.

If your just trying to get into the routine, try and wake up as early as you can, if this means getting up at 5 or 530 then fine.

Obviously once you are into the routine of getting up you should try and make this earlier, this way you have more time to do Simran and additional nitnem bania like asa di // etc.

Also, if your finding it hard to wake up because your tired, then don't make the task even more difficult by going to bed late( like I'm doing now)) lol.

Try and be asleep early so you have about 6 hours of sleep before you get up for amritvela.
