The online petition should go to the Belgium Prime Minister not the European Commission if it is aimed at stopping his vist to Belgium. The EC will have no jurisdiction and Belgium has a King and not a President.

The problem with online petitions with a few hundred or even a few thousand signatures is they virtually have no impact (especially if being sent to the wrong recipients). From memory the only successful online petitions by Sikhs were those that automatically generated individual emails to a particular person. The Sikh Coalition in the USA used these a couple of times and also had petitions that different organisations/Gurdwaras acros the globe could sign up to.

Also some of the signaturies are clearly confused as their comments seem to suggest they think Kamal Nath is coming to the UK. Who is organising the demonstration in Belgium?
