Ask any elder and they'll tell you the story of the thug badal in lion's clothing. Most elders (many of our parents who moved abroad after 80s-early 90s and grandparents who are still in Punjab) will tell you the TRUTH about Badal and how he sided with Indira Gandhi to stay in power. He is an opportunist who doesn't want to get on the powerful people's bad sides.

Instead of levelling wild accustaions one should know ground reality of akali poltics in 1983/1984.

SGPC was completely under control of Tohra those days.he was supremo and will not allow Badal

to come in his domain. Sant longowal was Akali dal president and dictator of Dharam yudh morcha.

Though they were all politicians but it is a mischief even to think of them conviving with Indira gandhi

in planning the attack.

First video forward to 2 minutes and the second video Sant ji speaks for just abit on the Akali Dals true colors. Badal wanted power of Punjab and he planned with the devil (Indira Gandhi) to get this power. What exactly was said in the meetings between Badal and Indira Gandhi are not known. But the main reason was, when to attack Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Indira Gandhi wanted to kill the Sikhs and Badal wanted power and he chose to take this power at the slaughter of Sikhs. Sant Baba Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa was in Badal's way, Sant ji was at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Sant ji stood for truth and freedom, but for Badal that meant no power. These two videos clearly disclose Sant ji's take on Akali Dal.

You were asked for references and you are posting these videos. I watched these videos

and did not find anything what you are telling us. Instead sant ji is telling us about atrocities

being committed by central govt that was in power.

You are not able to come with any reference to prove your allegations. Keep in mind that SAD

of those years was not Badal akali dal of today. Akali dal had launched an agitation against emergency

imposed by indira Gandhi in 1977.The only party to oppose Indira in India. Indira gandhi paid them back

by launching attack on their shrine.

Sant longowal was president of Akali dal and dictator of morcha. Tohra was president of SGPC.

Before launch of attack on darbar sahib Darbara singh was congress chief minister.he was sacked

by Indira and punjab was brought under President rule.

Longowal was closer to Barnala than Badal.

I believe akali dal derailed from their foundation when they made unholy alliance with bjp in late 90's. Akali dal may not be the one who told Indira to attack but they did played around in order to safe their own interest. Once the party of sikhs created for the interests of sikhs totally got hijacked by badal clan for their interests.

Badal when first elected made three promises ... non of which have been followed through infact the police officers which were used in black cat encounters are given political and state protection. Sucha suda is given z secuirty after killing and offending the sikhs but badal the man in power does nothing... ..

Akali dal is a party of sikhs. this was formed after great sacrifices. Its leader was master tara singh

who in my view was a much better leader as compared to todays leaders.

Period we are talking about is the period of Jagdev singh talwandi and Sant Harchand singh longowal

as akali presidents and Tohra was SGPC chief.

These people had many drawbacks but to say that they planned attack n Harmandir sahib with Indira Gandhi

is a naked lie. Indira wanted to give sikhs a bloody nose to appease Hindu vote bank and she did it singlehandedly

without even informing his sycophant Zail singh who was president of India.

While in the complex, babbars led by sukhdev singh were with akalis ( Harchand singh Longowal). They never missed a chance to

criticize sant ji on one account or the other.
