after watching the documentary my home town fanatics on bbc three about muslim radicalism on the rise in UK....my sympathy for the EDL has grown...i dont wholeheartedly support them..but i will not join with muslims to fight EDL off..i would rather stay netural and watch from the crowds lol

Do you actually think that EDL, BNP and other racist parties differentiate between Muslims and other Asian groups? These groups are a waste of time and shame on those 'Sikhs' that support them. Their ideology is goes against Gurbani and the principles of our Guru Sahiban.

Many Muslims oppose these Wahabbi minded Muslims. These radicals do not represent the majority. It is the Muslims themselves that suffer the most from these radical elements.

Gursikhs should stand up for the truth and fight injustice. Gurbani gives us the ability to decipher what is falsehood and what is truth. There are black sheep in every community, I will not judge a nation/religion on these black sheep.

I disagree - Deep down all muslims have this view of Sharia Law and all others are inferior to Muslims. ..........its obvious the edl are just a bunch of unorganised football hooligans. If they had proper co ordination they could do a lot better. But you have to admire The EDL atleast they have made some effort to resist the utter rubbish that these people propogate be it very lame.

The only solution is for muslims to be told to leave the country, otherwise there will just be continous friction and violence. But this in itself will have many implications. AS Sikhs we need to be more aware of current affairs and educate our community and have unity and solidarity - this we lack

Pal, did you not find it interesting how the EDL leaders true nature came out once he's had a few drinks down him ?

For the first half of the programme I thought to myself "what a throughly pleasant bloke he is". He'd talk about respect, diversity and being nice to everyone. Then....once he'd been down the boozer, his true thoughts came out. He turned into a vicious hatefull racist thug. i.e the person he really is and the views he really holds.

Say what you like about alcohol but, as evidenced last night, it is a truth finder. Once inside a man, the man can no longer hide his true feelings that he likes to keep hidden behind a veil of respectability.

(incidentally....and this is off topic but I might as well talk about it here : The Punjabi word for alcohol has quite interesting roots. Like much of the Punjabi language, and indeed Sikh words, it has its origin in the Farsi language of Iran. The word came into our Punjabi language via 2 separate words in Persian : 'Shar(m) as in shame and 'ab' as in water (as in punj-ab, land of 5 waters). i,e the punjabi word translates literally as 'shame water'. The context being that one who drinks it becomes 'besharm'.....shameless)

Make no mistake all mainstream (sunni/salafi/shia,etc) followers of islam see all non-muslims as enemies of Allah. They are taught to hate and make sure Islam is the dominant ideology....not there fault as they are commanded to do so by their false god (Allah of the quran). The Allah of SGGS Ji is one that is the true God who has no need for pitching one people against another. Our God is more powerful and true we need to realise as a community that the muslims are lost and ignorant who on the side of the dark forces they will be the ones who we or our future generations will again have to physically fight with for survival when they feel they have enough population to take over the lands we inhabit.

As for the EDL its a English nationalist organisation that opposes the english way of life taken over by Islamo-fascists which is fair enough. The problem with EDL is that it gets easily infiltrated by neo-nazi white nationalists whose ideology is based on racist socialist nationalism. These people hate the founders of EDL and hate the way it is all inclusive allowing ethnic and religious minorities to join. So EDL is not such a villainous group as the media and muslims like to make out its more about the people who infiltrate the group that you really need to watch out for.

It is best for Sikhs to avoid joining EDL or siding with muslims (like the ridiciously Sikhs against EDL turban champaign) They would happily give up their sisters to islamo-facists they are not true Sikhs neither are those who join EDL purely cos they hate Muslims. You can hate the political Islamic ideology (because it hates you and wishes your destruction) but to hate a whole group of people I would consider wrong.
