Dastar And Taking Amrit

Sangat ji, daas is taking amrit in a few weeks and was hoping someone could make a video at how to tie a dastar for the amrit sanchaar? I'm unsure how to do the laar that goes over my head so is there any video or explanation that anyone could provide and I would be extremely grateful!

doesn´t matter how you tie dastaar- you take amrit for yourself - like you tie dastaar for yourself - you believe in Guru ji . First Amrit in Heart- then vice versa - but if you want to make saaf Larrs - to look "good" - you need a thin material like mal mal - cut it in half so you will got a thin fold - then you need to tie it tight and clear the larrs with a "baaj" -

i think what the topic starter means is how to tie dastaar (and keski) in a way that it can be "opened", so that the panj piaare can sprinkle the kesh with amrit. when i took amrit, i just tied it normally, though it took some effort to get my kesh uncovered and the dastaar ended up a complete mess after that, not that it mattered.. i have no answer to the question though, you could probably figure it out just by trying.

Tie it however it feels comfortable, but make sure you can easily pull the lar at the top to the side to leave your dastar open at the top.

Practice tying it in advance, it depends also on what type of dastar you tie.

Also important to remember to make it easy to open up the top laar of your keski too.
