Question About Khalistan

Recommended Posts

If Khalistan was ever to exist it would be a landlocked country. Countries like this have limited trade potential and have to rely on their neighbours to import and export goods by sea.

If Khalistan ever comes to being it will make India an enemy and Pakistan is also an enemy. So what is the solution to this?

And yes Pakistan is an enemy, we should never take their help.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh's empire was landlocked, with a hostile british india to the south and east, and a hostile neighbour to the north, afghanistan, and tibet/china to the northeast.

I dont think we need to worry too much about that.

wats ur perception of the map of khalistan?

Isn't it just the state of Punjab in India?

I don't think it's possible for a very long time, but in the future I can see the subcontinent split into smaller states like the USSR. This would also be the most peaceful way. A velvet divorce.

The real chance was in 1947 but Tara Singh made a blunder.

The only way it can be achieved though is if the majority of Sikhs actually living in India want it, not the ones living in the UK or Canada. From my last two trips to India it doesn't seem that many people want it. In fact most youth I met just want to go abroad to make money.

That is one thing that struck me about Punjab, a lot of the youth are lazy but will work hard when they go abroad. Why not work hard in your own country?

Things like the quota system don't help

Well in my opinion Khalistan must be demanded minimally as Panjab, Haryana, Himachal and northern parts of rajastan.

by the way i presume u r new 2 this forum, but its best u jus contribute to older discussions of khalistan, coz its been discussed 2 the max, as u can imagine.

If that's the case, it will be a Sikh minority state!

yup! jus like jalandhar was muslim majority @ partition aswel as other places, but we managed 2 get that, even after we massacred muslims to the max. Remember u have urself mentioned master tara and our other leaders like baldev singh who sold us out, have u wondered wat land was offered 2 us then? It is incidentally current panjab, 80% of now haryana, himachal & i believe also nankana sahib. so we deserve everythig back that was promised, but those sikhs who want west panjab back from pakistan, r living in dream land tho
