Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

Is there a hell and a heaven...that we may be able to explore by Space Ships? Are these physical bodies, just like Earth, Sun and Moon? And is there any hell and heaven AT ALL (mental or physical)?

The gurmat answer to this is yes they exist as physical places in maya but you cannot go there in this body. Only your soul will travel there. If you are christian/islamic etc and you are aiming for heaven and are a good christian etc, you will end up in heaven that you aimed for, but nowhere beyond (ie sach khand). And once your good karams have been used up, back to the reincarnation.

sachkhand is not a heaven! Sachkhand is beyond and above that.. Sach khand is the realm of truth where we merge with akal purakh. That is the only eternal truth.

But getting to sachkhand is not easy. Sikhi does not aim to go to any heavens or hells, our goal is to go to sachkhand.. think about how hard it is.. it takes kamahee and bhagti from many lives to get there, just my humble guess would be 40 souls every 100 years at the mostt would make it to sachkhand, out of all souls on earth.. thats not much..

read this a couple of years ago and saved it:

Is there a hell or heaven?

Man is judged according to his actions. If he has done evil deeds, he goes into lower forms of life; if he has done noble deeds, he gets a human life again. The idea of hell and heaven is a mere hypothesis. The picture of hell as a place of varied and terrible tortures is symbolic:

There is a stream of fire from which come poisonous flames.

There is none else there except the self.

The waves of the ocean of fire are aflame.

And the sinners are burning in them." (A.G., p. 1026)

Shaikh Farid tells us that hell is a burning lake resounding with terrible cries. It may be added that the result of a sinful life is its adverse effect on character from which ultimately comes suffering and torment. In short, to be in hell is to be out of the presence of God.

Similarly there is no actual place called heaven. Sikhism does not regard the winning of a place in heaven as a worthy object. The old Indian concept of heaven is of a beautiful place providing all sorts of comforts and luxuries. The devotee is neither afraid of hell nor anxious to go to heaven. In a way, hell and heaven are conditions of mind. The virtuous man is happy and contented, as if he is living in heaven.

The concept of hell and heaven is just a rough illustration for clarifying the doctrine of Karma. Hell and heaven refer to evil or good stages of life respectively and they can be lived here and now in our earthly existence. According to Guru Arjan, "Wherever the praises of God are sung, there verily is heaven." Likewise, the society of the wicked is a hell. The condition of an ave

rage man is described thus: "Like birds that flock in the evening on a tree, flutter with pleasure and pain, scan the skies morning and evening, wandering everywhere, driven by hunger. So the soul of man wanders and suffers on earth." The worldly man eats, enjoys and sleeps, unmindful of the higher things of life. He is free, and perhaps, may choose wrongly.

I think the article Sikh 4 Life Veerji has pasted is written by Gobind Singh Mansukhani in his famous 'Introduction to Sikhism (?): Frequently Asked Questions'

http://www.sikhpoint.com/religion/intro2si...ikhhism_faq.asp

This part is found: Section II, Q. 31

This explaination is widely accepted in the Sikh Panth......and most of the 'SGPC-based' scholars do also accept this view...as Dr. Gurbakhsh Singh (NOT kala afghana) writes:

Question 11: What is the Sikhs’ version of Heaven and Hell?

According to the Sikh faith, there is no place which has been reserved as Heaven of Hell. In the following hymn, Gurmat says living in love with God is living in Heaven and living by ignoring God is living in Hell on this very earth. (Page 1369 and 749 Guru Granth Sahib) is his book Questions & Answers from The Sikh Faith, Chapter 2,

http://www.sikhpoint.com/religion/Questions_new.asp

Is we look at Gurmat through 4 schools of knowledge:

1) Tat-Khalsa [AKJ, Damdami Taksal, and other Jathebandis]

2) Nihangs and Nirmala Samparyadas

3) SGPC based [original Singh Sabhas, Bhai Veer Singh, Bhai Ditt Singh, so on.....long list]

4) Modern Singh Sabhaits [as Prof. Gurtej Singh's clan.....and the supporters of Kala Afghana)

then the first 2 basically believe in SaachKhand.....as is said NOT HEAVEN but as a place where only TRUTH resides.....also they believe strongly in Jaamdoots and heavenly bodies

among the SGPC scholars we find dif

ferent opinions........Bhai Veer Singh and Bhai Ditt Singh were more close to Tat-Khalsa...but the modern SGPC scholars are closer to the 4th group WHO fully disagree with Hell/Heaven/Saachkhand as physical bodies.....

I think as Mkhalsa jee said:

SaachKhand is not like the heaven described in Bible/Quran....but it a place where only truth resides.....what kind of place is that?

Gurmat differs from Islam/Christianity on this point.....Gurmat does not say that God is 'far away'...in SGGS several times it is said that God is very close....or is present at ALL places

this is Monism (that everything that is created has One Source) and is not present in other western faiths....

if we think like this.....it is clear that SaachKhand can not be 'far away' but here! Now it is also said that what exists in the Universe is also present in our body.....what does that tell us?

that SaachKhand can be within us.....WOW!

now think those humans, such as Gurus who had found Waheguru...yes they were living in SaachKhand in their human lives....! Also Jeevan Mukhtas (those who merged in Waheguru, as yet in the human life) are also living in SaachKhand! because SaachKhand (the Realm of Truth) is there where God is...who is Over-All....

if i am wrong in my views plz correct me....
