THE STORY:

>> Hawayein - Winds change but scars of history remain - is a film which emerges from the consequences of the BlueStar operation & based on the aftermath of Mrs. Indira Gandhi's assassination. The riots in Delhi & other places in India & the subsequent victimisation of the people in Punjab in the years that followed. This film depicts protagonist 'Sarabjit.' It is the story of his journey from innocence to disillusionment, from being simple, romantic, and music loving student to becoming on of the most wanted terrorists in the country. This film is an honest exploration of the reasons which led to the angst of the youth of Punjab & the turmoil suffered by their families.

It is the story of a time –

When innocents were forced to rebel against injustice & labelled by existing government

When political motivations created terrorists out of common criminals

When the nation's watchdogs became greedy, heartless money-making murderer use machines

When the soft sound of the wind created unspeakable fear in the minds of people in Punjab

A time created by an important administration & judiciary & the silence of the intelligentsia. A time which saw the beginning of the cross border terrorism in India.

It exposes the real reason of Pakistan participating in & actively aiding terrorism in Punjab. This film is the first of its kind subjects to be made and has been crafted within commercial parameters. <<

Presenting Sikh freedom fighters in a bad way.....but still worth watching!

You forgot to outline the last paragraph

The production values of this are on par with most major commercial Bollywood films. It has been shot in more than 41 authentic & picturesque locations in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi & on massive sets in Kamalistan Studio Mumbai. No effort has been spared in the making of this film. This film will also shatter previous stereotypes of Sikh Hindi screen.

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

Bhai Deep Singh ji

According to my limited knowledge, perhaps they are trying to say that this movie will remove the negative image of Sikhs that previous Hindi movies have brought out, by showing Sikhs as funny characters. This movie shows Sikhs as innocent victims of a pre-planned and calculated conspiracy that took place in New Delhi in November 1984, and so for the first time we will have most Indians understand what wrong has been done to Sikhs, rather than laughing at them.
