Please can someone share what Gurbani says about Human evolution?

Waheguru Ji - i believe Gurbani focuses on where you should be going getting your attma to prattma. you accept vaheguru hukkam of what has happened and has happened for a reason ...... from my limited experience of Gurbani Maybe some knowledgeable Veers can elaborate on the question above.

To the best of my knowledge, I feel Gurbani supports evolution. I mean evolution of the soul is mentioned i.e. having to go through 8.4 million species to become human. I feel evolution of the physical bodies lies in this concept. Very very deep stuff to be honest. Maybe someone else could further develop this.

As far as Gurbani is concerned, its sole concern is to show YOU the way back HOME, You being YOU of course and Home being Vaheguru.

The system which SatGuru ji has revealed gives you direct experience of Vaheguru (in stages of course).

Human evolution is a scientific term and is ever evolving itself. However because it is a scientific term, you need to remember that mainstream science does not acknowledge the existence of a "soul" or "God".

So in that respect you can say that the theory of Human Evolution will be in conflict with your own spiritual journey.

The human species has existed in many forms (from single cell to our current form). These can be considered different janoons of our species.

We're not Abrahamic, so I don't event think the concept of creationism even EXISTS in our religion. That being said, we do believe in evolution. God directs his play, and he himself directs all life forms, even those undergoing evolution.

Gurbani just focuses on Naam. But, if it satisfies you then throughout all the fossils that we have collected over time there hasn't been a single link that shows evolution from one cateogry to another. A single category of bones does show evolution over time. but one category hasn't been linked to another category.

If by category you mean species, then there are fossils showing 2 seperate populations merging in convergent evolution I think.
