dunno much about this 'sant' apart from their pind is not too far from ours and they have a big following even the entrance to the pind is like some big monument

I went to an akand paath at the birmingham gurdwara once and was impressed with the way they ran it from the program to the langer , where like india the sevadars bring the thaal and langar to you, also only amritdhari's were allowed to distribute

May be Sant jeet singh is trying to gain control of these gurdwaras because for the sake of his predecessors of sant basant singh ji johan or sant harnam singh ji jianwale through legal court system...its lot better than tribal punjabis restoring to violence- knocking each other dastar off, fighting with each other kirpan, beating someone with axe, hammer, broom in gurdwara.

So coming back to this topic, yes its unfortunate sikh control over gurdwaras is going to outside supreme court as opposed to sri akaal takth sahib but this legal means is lot better than tribal punjabis literally fighting in the gurdwaras over the control and committee etc.

'Jeet Singh was installed as the "Third Holy Saint" and head of the Nirmal Kutia Johal branch of the sikh religion in Punjab in 2002 but his legitimacy has been challenged. Former members of the temples' management committees now control some of the gurdwaras.'

What is the Nirmal Kutia Branch of the Sikh religion? I thought we are all Sikhs who belive in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib.
