Welcome to Sikhism, many muslims want to be Sikhs but are afraid of their families, friends and peers reactions due to sharia's supposed death sentence to those leaving Islam. However many brave souls are now choosing to embrace Sikhism after thinking about things logically. If you do decide to convert to Sikhism fully you will need to renounce certain beliefs you may have been brought up with when you was muslim ie belief in black magic, jinns, eating halal meat only, finality of muhammad being the last prophet, jannah is full of rivers of wine, 72 houris, etc. These things im sure you will have researched before you looked into converting to Sikhism.

Both of my cousins wives, who were Muslims converted to Sikhi, for reasons not too dissimilar to yours. Remember though, Sikhi is not just about a single point! it's about your actions, intentions and the entire journey and what you do along the way :-)
