Tomorrow is 1st death anniversary of Jaspal Singh killed in police firing at Gurdaspur.

Family still waiting for justice as killer cops being protected by the state and matter still pending in High Court.

.............Waiting for the day when Human life will be of some importance in India.

It is a shameful that the murderer of bhai jaspal singh jee has not been brought to justice.

The Badal sarkar are quick to arrest and put in jail Gursikhs such as bhai baljit singh daduwal, daljit singh bittu, bhai pala singh.....................

However when it comes to prosecuting those who have committed crimes against Sikhs they move like snails or not at all.

The only real person who could deliver any justice to Sikhs is Simranjit Singh Mann but his party never gets required votes. The Sikhs have become mayadhari and given power to Congress and Akali Dal Badal. This is why we will continue to be oppressed and not get justice.

I suspect at the smagam above and worldwide samgams there will be a lot of speeches demanding action, but in few days or weeks they will be forgotten and the killer of bhai jaspal singh will continue to walk free.

We need to find a way to put constant pressure (peaceful) on Badal sarkar and centre Sarkar demanding justice for bhai jaspal singh jee.

The Samagam took place today and was attended by a large number of Sangat. Absent were any representatives of the Badal Sarkar and I don't think any of the Takht Jathedhars attended.

The killing of Shaheed Jaspal Singh happened on TV and millions have seen the coverage, why cannot the Badal Govt bring the guilty to justice. Where are the calls from the Sants and Babas for this to happen? Many accuse others of being Naastiks and missionaries etc but do thy do anything practical to help victims of the Genocide? It is worth asking Sikh religious and Political leaders next time the appear at programmes what their views are on the Genocide and what they are doing to help the victims

Apart from Sant Daduwal and members of Simranjeet Singh Mann's party the remainder of our Sikh Organisations and leaders failed to show solidarity with Shaheed Jaspal Singh's family.

The Killing of Jaspal Singh was done by the ShivSena/RSS who seemed to command the Police on that day. The Singhs had gathered in peaceful protests against the Shiv Sena/RSS who had burnt Sikh turbans the day before by removing them from Sikh bus passengers.

It looks as if our Sikh leaders find it easier to criticise other Sikhs but are silent in front of the Shiv Sena/RSS and nakali Baba etc. The Congress, Akalis and PPP all visit these pakhandis but find it hard to visit a Shaheed family.

The death anniversary of 18-year-old engineering student Jaspal Singh, who was allegedly killed in police firing on March 29 last year, passed off peacefully amid tight security at his village here today.

At least 3,000 policemen were brought in from the adjoining police districts of Batala, Pathankot and Amritsar. All roads leading to the village were virtually sealed and every commuter was thoroughly frisked. Senior officers, including four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), were stationed at the Kahnuwan Chowk. Riot vehicles were stationed at the city’s vantage points.

Paramraj Singh Umranangal, Deputy Inspector-General (DIG), Border Range, and Gurdaspur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Raj Jit Singh Hundal could be seen personally monitoring the movement of people.

Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, who had brokered a truce between the police and the deceased’s family last year, did not make it to the venue. Police sources claimed that Sikh hardliner Simranjit Singh Mann was persuaded by senior officers to keep away even as his son Imaan Singh tired to whip up frenzy.

The presence of Sikh radical Baljit Singh Daduwal unnerved the police who delivered a speech low on substance and high on emotion. Posters of Jaspal Singh and Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale adorned the venue.

“ We had no option except to overlook the provocative posters as we did not want to come into a confrontation with the hardliners,” said a top police official.

I am 100% sure it was badal himslef who sanctioned firing on protesting sikh youth

We will also be aiming to distribute around 5000 prints of these pictures for the Sangat to get involved and take these home and put them in their front windows. Maharajs kirpa these things had an amazing effect last yr, who knows what kirpa Guru Jee may do this yr...
