She said if u want to learn only to do kirtan then u dont need to learn whole classical music

Dear, as i said earlier, classical rendition is not the same as Gurmat Sangeet. It can be a part of it, whether the performer wants it to be or not.

You can sing Bani in accordance to the great tradition started by our Guru's with very simple notes(as I do).

Dont set yourself a non-existent bar.

veerji, dass obey u on the thing that guruji wrote gurbani in raags but there is no compulsion to sing bani in raags.. ok daas agree that its better to sing in raags...but singing without raags is better than not singing at all

veerji, generalisation of things is good but it may not be correct every time.. daas is not against doing kirtan in raag but there is a beginning point..let bhenji learn some simple shabad and after that she can learn raags

Cutting hair is bedbi...n trying to learn some ways to utter name of lord is divine...

Kabir just use to write dohe.... He never read any holy book......

That does not mean he never uttered the lord's name :p

I dont want to learn that...aaaaaaa wala kirtan..... I have many other ways to make it interesting....

If required will use guitar...even babag will feel good with some difference :D
