Nigeria's Christian/Muslim is split between Northern & Southern Nigerian. It is also split on tribal lines. Nigerian muslims are predominately of the Hausa tribe and the Christians are mainly Yoruba and Igbo.

When you say "Nigeria is mostly a Muslim country" do you mean in the same way that Italy is mostly a Buddhist country ? :blink2:

Let me get this straight.....you find 10 sources on the internet giving the figures for the religious split in Nigeria. 9 of those 10 state there are more Christians than Muslims but you decide to go with the 1 that says there are more Muslims ?

ummm.....interesting.

Wikipedia is bigger than the other 9 sources. Plus Muslims have more kids on average than Christians and Nigeria has the largest birthrate in the world of 7 children per mother, Christians on average would have 1-2, and Muslims would have 12-13.
