I'd say it's been in decline post-World War 2. The so-called Information Age we currently reside in, and the associated benefits of living during the most peaceful period of history, is utter smoke and mirrors.

I think the accumulated wealth from empire kept them on top for a good few decades after WW2. But that party is over now.

These wars with sullay they've jumped into like fudhoos, and the weakness of their own banking system (due to a myopic, selfish culture encouraged in that sector) will be their undoing.

Was reading Sun Tzu's The art of war - one chapter really spelled out what deep, undefendable mess they've got themselves into perfectly. From a Sikh perspective, we should observe how this plays out. Will Islam continue to encroach onto European territory (via terror and other means, such as out-populating their host countries) or will it be content with its own caliphate? That is, if the whole topic of Islamic expansion isn't an overblown myth designed to distract the proles, whilst the true injustices (regarding our freedom, liberty, and rights) are taken from us over the course of generations with this "cause and affect" nonsense that's swung into being since 9/11.

Funny how there was so much resistance to the Internet Snooper's Charter and Syrian airstrikes a few months and weeks ago from the British, but now I'm guessing the public are so desperate not to end up shot to bits in their own streets, the resistance to such things seems less important.

Overall, I can see that entire region going up in smoke eventually, and it'd be a madman who assumes India will remain untouched. Maybe the bachans of mahapurash regarding a time when Sikhs will come to the fore when the world's population has been decimated is something not be scoffed at. If that is the case, this current sorry shower that make up modern Sikhi need to be purged: corrupt politicians and the equally corrupt "holy" men.

That's what will happen when things get messed up. All the fudhoos arguing over irrelevant, minor things will get smacked down. By the process of natural selection those apnay able to lead and defend their people will rise to the top.

That's when you're going to see real bad arse Singhs and Singhnis in their element. (If Waheguru wills it!)

More of the generation coming up under these circumstances will be strong due to circumstances and role models.
