Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

I defnetly agree with Japans, that sometimes there's way too much bickering, nto just ont he forum but also in the panth

After 84 we were all united, we've forgot it and Panth Is noit completly active - or alive and kicking, as we got such as Badal messing everything up.

I totally agree with Japman Singh, ever tho we don'ta gree with each other we shoudl put aside all contreversies and hug each others like brothers and not yell at each other, or take of each other's pagh for not agreeing with them (yes this is happening!!!)

we always seem to unite when someone passes away or something tragical happens , then we sit together and forget the contreversies, can we not always do this?

can we not ALWAYS be united liek we were after 84, can we not always be liek this as we were after the passing away of the Gurmukhs.

Fair enough Healthy discussion is good, but it seems like when something we disagree on , there's a point were we don't leave other alone, with the opinion they have...

I rel-call just today there was a big mess at our Local Gurdwara about Raagmala, where some person begun ellign at the sevadar , that Raag mala should be read, and wouldn't calm down - and i mean personally if i wanted to tell my opinion about something

and if i wanted to get my point across i would go and speak with prem and tell him my opinion - they don't listen, fair enough, but what these people did was begun yelling at each other begun pointing out each other's augun. messed up- no wonder why Maharaj is blessing us witha nation yet, we can't even handle a Gurdw

ara in peace, or if someone does handle the Gurdwar with peace and does Guru parchar they're bickered at - this is where we are today -sadly

The biggest shame would be if 3 months down the line we all went back to our normal routine over fighting over trivial matters.

Hopefully this serves as a wake up call to every young Gursikh out there..

Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa

Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh

sadly we have went back to our routine over fighting over trival matters..

I agree with JAPMANS original post.

Things don't have to be "perfect", but I agree that people are generally different now, as compared to May, when this happened. We were more united then, and there have been lots of "big" arguments on forums since then.

Sunny, it's easy for you to say "life goes on." Try saying that to the close relatives and best friends of those Gursikhs who had known them their whole lives. It's easy to say something like that, but no one understands until they are put in the position themselves.

I can understand why this thread was made, and I agree. We should try to remember why Guru Sahib may have done this, perhaps it was to teach us all a lesson. Who knows.

Thank you for this thread

I think there are HUGE amount of Racist, Youth-egoistic sikhs in this world.. (includes me and most of the ppls that i know)..

Kill ego then it will be fine !

What does racism have to do with anything?

racism of so called "Upper sikhs" looking down at other ppls who are not blessed with sikhi lifestyle.. get it?? or shall i explain more further veerjee?? rolleyes.gif

I totally agree with japmans veerji...

and sadly it's not only this site...a quick look at any sikhi related forum will show us how engulfed many people seem to be in putting others down and whatnot....

you have people who wanna ban non-amritdharies from taking part in services at gurdwara, have people who put their "snatan sikhi" brothers down without actually knowing a whole lot about them, you got people on Tapoban doing koor nindiya of different sangats and mahapursh.....it's sad.....and the funniest part is...that all these sites have "panthic ekta" objectives....

    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
