I'm posting this because we had a recent discussion about male on female abuse. Now I know this happens, and let me state clearly I think this is horrendous, and should be challenged and stopped when it occurs. Shame on those men that do this to their spouses.

However, another problem of overbearing control freak matriarchs is rarely addressed in our society, so I thought I'd share this to highlight an example,, and to give people who may be going through this another perspective. 

All abuse needs to stop - male on male, male towards female and vice versa, female on female and also adult towards children:

Weak men. Weak men are the root of it. Weak men can be manipulated into behaving any way the manipulator desires, and the rest of the world is none the wiser as to the true cause of it. Women in our community have their many faults, but ultimately if the man is a passenger instead of the pilot, he's gonna end up in places he doesn't want to be.

Often weak men are the grown up weak children who've had their confidence knocked by overbearing parents; or a weak willed father figure who they emulate (albeit subconsciously). Then these things get transmitted across generations - like domestic abuse often does.
