How wear Kachera while doing ishnaan?

I’m 13 years old and I’m trying to become and Amritdhari Sikh. I have a question about the Kachera. How do Sikhs wear a Kachera while doing ishnaan or showering?

Shower with it on, once done remove 1 leg at time from existing kachera and place into new one

i think this idea came from when they used to bathe in rivers and spring-lakes.
