Has anybody thought of what Sikhs would be like without Badals or the Indian Government. For one Sikhs would be killing eachother left right and centre. Only because on little item does not sit well with a group that there I will kill you because do not practise Sikhi our way. It is line our way or the Hiway. Had Akal Takhat not be under control of these people we would have destroyed Akal Takhat ourselves. Guru Jee has Badals for a reason. Guru Jee does not want us to live without challanges. A true Gursikh will never ever want any sort of poltical power.

I made an account yesterday here and no email has been sent. I clicked the resend validation thingy in the corner, when I open the email and enter in the code and stuff this thing comes up saying www.sikhsangat.com:80 reguires a username and password or something like that. Do I have to get that to work in order for my account to be fully activated? Please help, this is a cool place.

Hello everybody I have a question, and I would love to get everybodys opinion. I´m a sikh girl living in europe, I am not Amritdhari. Lately I have been wanting to start using turban, not everyday to begin with, but sometimes a week. The problem is that I am scared to offend other sikhs, because; 1. I am not Amritdhari 2. I cut my hair(got long hair, just cut the tip of the hair every 6th week) and I fix my eyebrows 3. I eat meat 4. Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh i have just recently got married and in a mature manner i need to know according to DAM DAMI TAKSAL rehat maryada, to what extent can i show my other half affection without breaking my rehat, getting into manmat? Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh i am a young amritdhari, who needs your help... The problem is that I’m not feeling that long lasting “buzz” anymore. I do seva, during that period it feels amazing, doing Simran feels amazing, but afterwards, I just go back to feeling “urgh” I used to love going to Kirtan programmes, but now i feel like they are all the same (still attend them). And because of this lost buzz I don’t feel like getting up for amritvela. I quickly listen to my path in bed. I’ve tried listing to katha, doing more seva. Tokyo Gurudwara

There is a Gurudwara in Tokyo in the basement of the Indian Visa Application Center near the Myogadani Station. Is it bad for the Darbar to be underground? I dont think there is anything on top of the ceiling like a room where people go in or anything so there is nobody's feet above Guru ji. I would really like to go there its clean and small. I never knew there was sangat there. So yeah is this like paap or against Sikhi? Thanks.

Chaps, I have just uploaded a free APP on Google Play . It basically converts Georgian calender date to nanakshahi calender date. Please do provide feedback as what I could have improve more on it. The calender range is wide for about 150 years. I think from 1900 till 2050. Any day's date can be known. I thought it is good way for people to check when is their DOB or other important dates in nanakshahi calender based date format. SSA

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh ji Does the Gurdwaras new multi purpose hall allow meat sharab etc? I know this hall is booked for a post wedding party with meat and sharab. Whether it has been made clear that both are not allowed in the Gurdwara annexe (which i believe is directly connected? And there is a new langar and diwan hall too), i dont know. But this is the intention. Could someone please shed some light on this. If meat sharab is allowed, is the hall connected to the Gurdwara? Are the premises owned by the Gurdwara? If meat sharab is not allowed, i can advise against this venue and potentially prevent this from happening. Unfortunately the family…

back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras.
