Hi there I'm a Sikh girl and I'm a non amritary, I have recently been thinking about how non amritary males no longer keep there virginty and therefore I do not want to be a virgin if my future husband is not . It's not right I think how women should stay pure when majority of men are not . Yes it is a sin but so is me cutting my hair and if God can forgive me for that can he not forgive me if I lose my virginty . Yes they are completely different things but as a women why should I stay pure as a non amritary Sikh if my husband in the future that I know for a fact will not be as it is highly unlikely for a non amritary man to still have his virginty when he wants a love m…

Hi, Could someone please explain this if possible. Someone close just recently passed. Before they passed they were unwell had seemed to have visions. What they saw: A man outside looking at them A man I think looking at them writing something down. A cow at the top of the stairs and its about to fall. I'm not sure if it was the mind not functioning properly, but im pretty sure it was something more spiritual would anyone be able to shed any light? thanks

Could someone please explain what this means. Someone close has recently passed on. Before they passed they were not very well and they could see people/things. For example They saw a person outside looking at them They saw a man i think looking at them again writing something down. A cow at the top of the stairs about to fall. I dont know if this is the mind playing tricks or not functioning correctly, but i'm pretty sure this all means something, does anyone know.? thanks

Visiting London ... What are some Sikh-related things to see/do? 1 2

HI, I live in America and have never been to England. I will be visiting London soon and am wondering what there is to see or do that would be of interest to a Sikh. Are there some interesting museums or collections to see? Are any of the Gurdwaras especially worth checking out? Any interesting neighborhoods I should visit? Any musical/theatrical performances that might be of interest? I'd appreciate all suggestions. Thanks If nothing else, perhaps I could meet up with West London Singh for some cha. That might be more entertaining than anything else I could end up doing!!

WGKWGF I came to visit my relatives in London, Redbridge area and staying with them for the last few days. I have been here before, around 20 years ago, but am I wrong, when I see every other shop is either Halal or Muslim owned? I am just making an observation, but we all know what happens when one community is the majority anywhere!!

Some of you may know me from my previous topics about my sight problem. basicaly I am completley blind in one of my eyes. Ive always struggled in social situations due to this. But have only recentley started to realise just how big my sight problem has affected me in every day to day social situations or work. We as humans communicate 80% through body language. this is mainly in the form of body language . which is mostly related to eye movements. infact we potray our whole chracter through eye movements nods ect. especially making eye contact. ect. when you have only one eye. you come across as a bad person. this is due to not having the ability to express you…

Vodka in face scrub?

This may be a stupid question but little things worry me. There is vodka in a good face scrub I've bought... its okay to use right? its not like I'm eating the scrub. More pressing is my concern that soon I'm moving into a house with Maharaj in it. It should be fine right? It's not drinking alcohol.

Vote for good Sikh candidates in election(s)
by Guest Tanmanjeet Dhesi MP?- 2 replies

As we all know there are no Sikhs in the British Parliament - a blatant testimony to Sikhs being marginalised at the expense of other minority groups. If even the second strongest Sikh diaspora population has no political voice in 2017 it's very worrying for Sikh interests moving forward. Tanmanjeet Singh represents the best chance Sikhs might have for even just one lone turbanned MP at Westminster - whilst in comparison there are ten Pakistani MP's (despite the Pakistani population being roughly double the Sikh one). Hopefully local Sikhs support him and other MP's that have stood up for Sikh interests like Tom Watson and John McDonnell. For the Sikh …

Dear All Please forward to all your contacts & ask them to vote NOW!! Take a second to cast your vote in the Evening Standard on-line poll to determine public opinion about whether a Mega mosque should be build for the Olympics. The vote so far is 61% in favour. It looks like the Muslim community is casting its vote in droves, and as usual the Hindus, Sikhs, Jain, Buddhist and Christians are burying their head in the sand. How can the government allow this, when there a mixture of faith at these Games. Instead of a Mega Mosque, there should be an Interfaith Centre, where any religion can go and pray. After voting, forward this to as many Londoners and other …
