I dont think an adult "sikh" should be wearing a cap or hat in a Gurdwara as it sets a bad example to the younger sangat. So what else would you say to an cap wearing adult "Sikh" who is serving langar?

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh I have been practicing sikhi for a while now, I do nitnim everyday and I do naam simran as well everyday. I am still living at home with my parents who do not approve of me taking amrit and I have chosen to respect them on this until I move out and find my own place. In the meantime however, I have been living the life of an amritdhari essentially and this includes wearing a kirpan and I feel as though if they don't wish me to actually take amrit I can at least do as much as I can to be prepared when I do finally take it. I recently saw some posts on here that suggest that you can't wear a kirpan without being an amritdhari …

wjkkwjkf. so i have a job at emirates airlines and ofcourse as my uniform i have to wear red. I am amrtidhari. i understand that red is something the hindu army used to wear but is that even relevant anymore? why is the colour red an issue? it's not written anywhere in any rehats apart from nihang and taksaali rehats and i recieved amrit from an sgpc gurdwara so it's not in my rehat but most iportantly not in bani that wearing red is wrong. anyone that says that red invoke lust has some serious explaining to do. that's like saying wearing ankle socks invokes lust because i can see other people's skin and it isnt a sikh thing to do. i go to work and earn my money honestly …

I am on a business trip in Europe and will be visiting one of the car manufacturer's plant in Germany. As per the safety guidelines I will be required to wear a safety helmet. I know that there is a law in UK which exempts Sikhs from wearing a safety helmet. Is there any similar law which provides this exemption in Germany or I have to wear one?

WJKK WJKF! I have a strange situation. I am engaged to be married to an amritdhari singh in November. With Waheguru's kirpa I myself will be taking amrit next weekend. My fiance's parents are not religious what-so-ever. Which has caused a lot of dispute and confusion our wedding already. They asked for a reception and then further asked for the reception to have alcohol served. However, this was quickly rebutted with my parents insisting they will throw the reception. Unfortunately not all of our demands were met and the party will still have dancing/bhangra etc but will not have meat or alcohol. My problem is that the more we try to "simplify" the wedding the less they a…
