  2. Me: Waheguru Ji, can I ask You a question? Waheguru Ji: Sure Me: Promise You won't get mad Waheguru Ji: I promise Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today? Waheguru Ji: What do u mean? Me: Well, I woke up late Waheguru Ji: Yes Me: My car took forever to start Waheguru Ji: Okay Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait Waheguru Ji: Huummm Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call Waheguru Ji: All right Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Waheguru Ji: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that: ਮੰਨੈ ਜਮ ਕੈ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ Mannai Jam Kai Saathh N Jaae || मंनै जम कै साथि न जाइ ॥ The faithful do not have to go with the Messenger of death. Me (humbled): OH Waheguru Ji: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road. I do not let My devotees see the difficult times; this is My innate nature. Me: (ashamed) Waheguru Ji: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work. All sorrows and sicknesses are eradicated, and you become ever-fresh and rejuvenated. Me (embarrassed):Okay Ji Waheguru Ji: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered. He who is protected by Me, The Helper Lord Waheguru Ji - what can the world do to him? Me (softly): I see Waheguru Ji Waheguru Ji: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark. The darkness of ignorance is dispelled, and the Divine light radiantly shines forth. Me: I'm Sorry Waheguru Ji Waheguru Ji: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me.... in All things, the Good & the bad. At home, and outside, Trust in me; I am always with My humble servant. Me: I will trust You. You are the honor of the dishonored. O Master Waheguru Ji, in You I place my trust. Waheguru Ji: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan. As you submit to My will, and surrender to Me, the Creator, you get rid of selfishness and conceit. Me: I won't doubt your plan for me, Waheguru Ji. And let me just tell you Waheguru Ji, Thank You for Everything today. Your servants are totally fulfilled, throughout the ages; O Waheguru Ji, it is all You, forever. Waheguru Ji: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your Waheguru Ji and I Love looking after My Children... I cherishe all My beings and creatures, As the mother cares for her children. source: discoversikhi.com

  3. Dearest Gurpyari sangat jeeo, I have just watched the BBC3 programme of ''Young Carpenter of the Year ''(UK), where 6 well chosen contestants had to compete for this title and through GurMaharaj's kirpa the award went to a lovely turbanned Sikh i.e Tirbhavan Singh nicknamed Tibby. They had to execute various tasks such as building a skirting board, a duck house and fitting a kitchen. They had to work in a limited time constraint and display knowledge, experience, skills, creativity, planning, right attitude, dedication and responsibility. Tibby impressed the judges at every stage especially for his methodolical approach, professionalism and passion and was the ultimate winner. What impressed me was how this lad became an ambassador for Sikhi throughout the programme. They showed coverage of the local gurudwara where he voluntarily has done restoration work for a year, and he talked openly about, and explained the concept of sewa in Sikhism and how Sikhs inherently serve the communities they live in through selfless service. Tosee this on national TV a youing Sikh with beard and turban talking inspiringly about his religion in a humble and honest manner and impromptu coverage of a gurudwara during a competition brought big tears and vairaag to me instantly. He projected through his words and personality that Sikhs are perfectionists who do not cut corners and cheat but are a people of humility and passion who have a winning attitude. The judges were absolutely impressed with him. They were also showing the families of the contestants and thus it showed about 4 male members of his family all turbanned and cool looking mature people. His motheof the Queen, and that was very moving too. Likewise Tibby hugged the other contestant who failed in the final round. I am absolutely impressed by such chardikela for Sikhi on BBC3 on national UK TV that I had not been expecting on a Sunday evening!

  4. vjkk vjkf ! listening to katha and vadde mahapurkhs bachans i've heard that the time ahead of us is going to be really bad, and that we should memorize bani as much as we can. just wondering what everyones thoughts are on the time ahead of us.. what we should do to prepare ourselves.. cause we all know that Brahm gyani's do not lie, From various reliable sources (Mahapurkha dian sevadaars as well as sau sakhi), I have heard that there will come a time when shaheed singhs will make Bani gupt due to the beadbi (disrespect) of Bani worldwide; when that happens we will only have the bani which is kant (memorised) available to us. Bhramgyanis have said that a time will come when life is so hard that constant Bani abhyaas is required just to survive. It would be wise for to build up our jeevans now, while life is relatively easy. Baba Thakur Singh ji bhindrenvale has mentioned that there is need of great abhyaas. Singhs have told me that he also said there was need to focus on shastar vidya as well. any thoughts? vjkk vjkf

  8. Fateh, I dont think Bani would get gupt, because SGGSJ will never die!, and we should all memorize paath, and learn shaster vidya or a martial art or two, but the main thing is to live in chardi kala Fateh!

  9. Eloo! Gurfateh Rom-rom Simran is something that is exhibited, or displayed. Meaning that, it is seen in individuals and experienced by them, only when inner feelings and workings are aligned. Which is why we are told to ‘go inwards’ for our bhagti and naam simran. Once our surti is steady, and ‘tik-ed’ (stable / at peace / at one with naam simran), we start to feel at peace. Then we carry on with the naam simran train to god. Then, u feel a click. Some people experience this click slowly, others, it’s literally a click. This click is what bani talks as a teer to your heart. But its not heart, its hirda.. (some people say, where’s the hirda?.., its 10 finger widths down, from where u speak from. Aka, near enough your chest. In sidh gorst, >tre sat angul vaaee keheeai<.) so this teer that u experience, will have been experienced throughout your naam simran stages that u climb. So..., imagine a druggie. He hears bani, it hits him. Then he thinks to change his ways. Then, he does naam simran. Then few months down the line, it hits him again, and he starts to take active roles in learning bani, and keertan and so on.. in naam simran, the teer will hit, and overcome you. This is where the so called ‘bani / naam simran shakti’ comes from. (jus to say also, bani has come from naam). So ur feeling the naam. Then u ‘go quiet’ as most people say. (cuz ur simran is going into urself – so its very key to be able to comtrol this and not speak during this process etc..) Then, with the sutra tik-ed, naam simran overcomes your body. And ur hair stands up in waves, as described by people. Guru naanak dev ji sez in jupji sahib, let each hair on my body, become a tongue. There are 50 billion, Billion, hairs on average human body. So, when u say 1 waheguru, your entire body will vibrate with that, to turn it into the ‘fal’ (fruits) of saying waheguru 50 billionbillion times. When u get to these levels, u move away from the notion, that naam is a word. Then u get into the viewpoint that naam is something else entirely, and the ‘word’ as such, is a means to realise naam. Then, bout 2-3months later, u will start slipping into the sunn reality. (Note: all timelines that iv sed, are on the assumption that u do simran everyday). Guru ji has given us tools to do naam simran, however, some of these need to be unlocked. We have tongue, footsteps, the beat of the heart, hair, surti, etc. All are tools to jup the naam to open the tenth gate, and go onward to the journey to god, to then meet god, and to get the true mukti, to merge with him. Through these tools, we slip into the sunn, where nothing is, aka god, and then we travel to make the journey to him. U don’t need to worry about sunn just yet. U will know when it happens. Swaas swaas simran, and rom rom simran, are near enough, siblings. They come together, >near enough. Science says, the breath is the link from conscious mind to the subconscious mind. They right obviously.. there’s evidence. Same goes for naam simran. Using the breath, ur rom rom simran can be unlocked. Guru ji also said in jupji sahib, that inside the mind, there are jewls, >rattan javaahar maanik<. Also, jus to say, jupji sahib, is amazing to do for ur dasam dwaar. But to feel its power, is also hard and u need effort, aka kamaaee. Some people try focussing on getting this and that going e.g. gota get the rom rom simran going, but, this is the wrong way to do it. Focusing on the shabad, and trueness, is the way, and all will align for the tenth gate to open. Rom rom simran makes u shine. Glow. I wish I was blessed with this gift also. We have been given 5 senses, ontop of this, guru ji has given us gifts in our body. Through which, we are able to climb the levels. And even get the ridh sidh, which is relatively rely low level. Meaning, its not too too hard to get ridh sidh.so.. yh.. U also mentioned about hearing things. This is very high avastha things. Its after ur in the sunn avastha level for a while. Then u start to hear naam. The vibration of god. And no, its not the white noise u hear if ur ear pops! If u do hear that white noise, its good sign, it means ur ears are sorting themselves out to get redy to hear the naad. Aka, the sound. High level stuff. Ppl that hear this, are very close to god, hence, close to themselves. Simply, 1. be patient... you cannot push what cannot be pushed. 2. jup naam with reverence and conviction... strive to success. 3. jup for the love of jupping it... within randomness, is utter beauty. Utter. These are my rules that iv found. All of bani is naam. Take jaap sahib.. Aad – the beginning --> aka, waheguru! Roop – the true saroop --> aka, waheguru! Anaad – never ending --> aka, waheguru! Moorat – the true moorat --> aka, waheguru! Ajorn - akaal --> aka, waheguru! Purakh – sat-purakh --> aka, waheguru! Apaar – totally, nex level --> aka, waheguru! All of bani is naam. Bani comes form naam. And >through naam, we merge into waheguru. We start to see naam everywhere. Then eventually, see god everywhere. We start to see sarab byaapak. And then some.. it goes on.. no point in talking bout it.. although, info is good. And reely does help.. gives some clarity.. etc. Its all about the journey. Not so much the end result. Reward is given to manz that earn it. Else, no reward! God wants us to n-joi ourselves. So..! jup like never before!!!!!! (im not telling u to specifically do anything, its the choice of the individual!. Im pretty sure u will tho ) Happy jupping!! :l: email me if u wana to lemi no how u getting on! or, jus to chat etc.. = / :lalala: :angeljump: :yeehaw:

  13. Excellent post Gurdsingh. Excellent. I'm glad for the first time in a long time a singh has talked liked a singh. I've been saying here a long time (to no avail) every time sikh groups (nearly all whom have little or no education) talk about wanting the koh-e-noor back....I've always said that we Sikhs should show the world how righteous we are by fighting to get it back for the pathans / afghans (leaving aside for the moment that it no longer exists and was cut up to make the present queen of canada and australia's tiara among other things). On sikh blog after sikh discussion forum each and every day you will always find sikhs talking about criminal somalis and pakistanis etc. But the fact is...we sikhs behaved proper gangster when it came to aquiring the koh-e-noor. We behaved liked thieving, tricking, sneaky gypsy thieves. As men and women of honour we should correct the mistakes of our forefathers. No matter where the pathan / afghans got it from and how they got it, the fact remains that we behaved no better than the common criminal to get it from them.As such, we should fight on their behalf to get, whats left of it,back for them. As for the topic of the thread.....I too would like to know exactly what was stolen. Each and every antiquity should be known to the worldwide community. Each and every dirty filthy indian that has stolen and got rich on the proceeds of these thefts should and can be be hunted down by international law. But first......we....and everyone else, need to know what was stolen.

  14. It looks weird and i was shocked myself but who are you to use punjabi cultural norms to judge their western behaviour? Obviosly they dont consider it disrespectful, otherwise they would not do it... They are western sikhs, they have other norms of what is disrespectful. Dont turn sikhi into panjabism.... U have no objective source to state what they are doing is wrong, only your own subjective background as a panjabi

  15. And tell her that body is not the every thing for us our soul must be pious and definitely her soul is pious and she too is pious. Tell her that her soul is the part of AKAAL PURAKH ji and after demise of body her soul will emerge with Akaal Purakh. Tell her that she is the pious flower of LOTUS which may stand in mud but remains Lotus and no body calls it MUD LOTUS but is called LOTUS and only LOTUS. Tell her that she is daughter of GURU GOBIND SINGH JI and MATA SAHIB KAUR JI and daughter of Dashmeh Pita can never feel depression, inferiority or something like ill will, but should be brave enough to teach lesson to the cruel Papis. Tell her that Guru Saheb loves her and Khalsa PANTH also loves her. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh
