I ran this through a translator and this is what it came up with.... Good day, sirs! My dear compadre has just procured himself an automated nicotine delivery system which, quite remarkably, contains no tobacco! As it is bereft of such carcinogenic additives, it must surely be acceptable to toke, would you not agree? I myself chose to partake of this modern delight and found it to carry a very palatable hint of strawberries, though my reservations are whether it is wholly appropriate to imbibe this concoction, given my religious convictions. Would you concur? That sounds about right.

Punjab: Political dissent put in prison – Sikh leaders arrested on mass scale Ludhiana, Punjab (March 29, 2012): As per reports, arrests of Sikh leaders were carried out at large scale yesterday. The Punjab police initiated the crackdown on political opponents of ruling Badal Dal at around afternoon and arrests were made till late night. Some reports suggest that police is still looking for many Sikh leaders who have gone underground to avoid arrests and undue harassment. More than hundred Sikh leaders and active Sikh workers have been arrested so far. As per reports those arrested include, S. Simranjit Singh Mann, President of SAD (Mann); Bhai Daljit Singh, Chairman of Panch Pardhani; Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema, Jasvir Singh Khandoor, Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal, Bhai Mohkam Singh, Gurinderpal Singh Dhanaula, Paramjeet Singh Saholi, Jaswinder Singh Baliewal, state president of SAD (Delhi), Jasdeep Singh Konke, Balwinder Singh Bhullar, Baljinder Singh Jindu, Gurdeep Singh Gosha, . More than twenty Sikh workers are reported to have been arrested along with Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema. Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal is reported to have been arrested along six of his companions. Similarly, Nawanshehr district leadership of Akali Dal Panch Pardhani is also put in prison. These arrests are reported to have been made in wake of mass response by the people of Punjab towards Punjab shut-down (bandh) call given by the Joint committee formed by Sikh organizations. An independent observer opined these arrests are aimed at preventing mass mobilization in Punjab. Badal Government want to pacify the public response and break the movement that had started to gain organized form since declaration of execution of Sikh political prisoner Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana. “They want to lock up leadership so mass movement will remain leaderless and can be quashed” he added. At this moment at UN headquaters in NY, there are dozen minorities groups all protesting against their gov't and against human right abuses. From time to time, some UN officals equivalent to baseball side kick water boy comes along and meet these groups take their demand list and goes back in UN, never comes back with status or any improvement. Fact of matter is UN have became laughling stock, what makes us think they can be helpful to us- they can't even sort themselves- always flip flopping- at day speaking against countries who commit human rights violation and at night - sleeping with them. Trust me guys- at the end of day for corporate countries like - US, CANADA, UK, EU its all business as usual, business at stake, business number one priority, business transaction between trans national, global countries, everything else is last. I will end my ranting with gurbani bachan from asa ki... also quoted by sant jarnail singh bhindranwale in his speeches: I don't know the exact quote in gurbani - don't want to make mistakes but it says- You have do the karaj yourself- all within law /legal frame work of the country we living in (off course)

Canadian Sangat has a lot of work to do. In the past after the air india incident Indian government sent a good sum of money to Canadian media via various outlets to sway opinion against Sikhs and they continue to do so today. Don't get emotional and learn to play their game, that's the main thing. Play it and learn to tell YOUR story, not their version of your story + their agenda. To make it clear, air india incident wasn't done by Sikhs, it was done by the indian government to swift global sympathy AWAY from Sikhs. In Canada they have partially succeeded, but they won't in the long run anywhere if we unite as one Panth. All we need is unity and love.

Unless the flower sprouted lips and started speaking to you, I wouldn't worry about it. If we started linking apparently unrelated events together and gave them cosmic / mystical significance because they happened in the presence of Gurbani, we would go loopy everytime.

Some Sikhs always ask why the Indian Government is so cruel to Sikhs and has tried to carry out ethnic cleansing. Why is it doing this to the Sikhs? Well, in answer to the above question, I think the below gives the reason why. The reason for the cruelty on the Sikhs has been clearly given in so many books by intellects, both Sikhs and non-Sikhs, for over a hundred years now. However, most Sikhs have not picked up on this. Below is one incident of this simple truth being given to us by a top non-Sikh official of India back in 1911. McAuliffe also stated the same after carry out some totally independent and unbiased research himself. Many others have picked up on this. If we know why it’s being done to us, we can tackle it, and explain to the rest of the world why it’s being done to us. The rest of the world is more likely to believe us if they know why we are being oppressed by the Indian Government. Reason for Indian Government’s ethnic cleansing and cruelty against Sikhs Page 67 of the book by Saroop Singh “Kwilsqwn dI loV ikaUN?” bRwhmxvwd isKW dw hmySw vYrI irhw hY[ KuPIAW ivBwg dy aup fwierYktr im: fI pYtrI ny sMn 1911 ivc BymI irport ivc ieMj iliKAw hY: ] Hinduism has always been hostile to Sikhism whose Guru powerfully and successfully attacked the principle of Caste which is the foundation on which the whole fabric of Brahamism has been reared. The activities of Hindus have, therefore, been constantly directed to the undermining of Sikhism both by preventing the children of Sikh Fathers from taking Pahul and by reducing professed Sikhs from their allegiance to their faith. Hinduism has strangled Buddhism, once a formidable rival to it and it has already made serious inroads into domains of Sikhism. If anyone asks how do we know this persecution still happened in the hundreds of thousands in the 80s & 90s and is still happening today, then give them the following answer: As far as talking to westerners about the Politics effecting Sikhs it's very simple - we should just say the following: Sikhs are trying to get all of the west, and the rest of the world to be allowed into Punjab, and Delhi, to research and find out how a genocide was carried out against the Sikhs by the Indian Government, and how all the killers the Indian Govt used were let off free or promoted!! Alqaeda don't want the west coming in to their area to even view what they are up to, whereas, us Sikhs ARE asking the west to go into Punjab and Delhi/India to find out what has been done, and is being done, to the Sikhs by the India Govt. I think you will agree that the fact that the Indian govt is keeping all the west out of Punjab, including Human rights organisations like Amnesty International, shows their total and utter guilt without any doubt whatsoever. The Indian Govt are the Alqaeda in this case, as they want to keep the west and human rights organisation out, just like Alqaeda. This opposite of one side, (the Sikhs), wanting witnesses, and the other side, the Indian Govt NOT wanting any witnesses proves without any doubt who is right and who is wrong, who is NOT guilty and who is guilty. Sikhs are right, and the Indian Govt is wrong. If this is not the case what have the Indian Govt got to hide !!!!!!! Murders and rapists would never let the media in, and that's why the indian goverment, not the Sikhs, are trying to keep the western media, and human rights organisations, out of the Punjab - Simply really !!! Nothing has changed!!!

Admins: why is this geezer allowed to post links to Jagbani .... this paper has always been a mouthpiece for the Arya Samaj. We don't need their pro-Shiv Sena stance on anything ....even if its just a regular news report like this one. Read about the Arya Samaji Lala Jagat Narain who founded this newspaper group and always advocated against Punjabi....and Sant Bhindranwale Ji and the Dharam Yudh Morcha. Even if they now have a Punjabi language publication please dont be fooled; their ideology will still be the same. We don't need them on FREE THINKING Sikh Forums like Sikhsangat. ADMINS please deny them the oxygen of publicity. Mr Vijayender what are your views on the scum that is Shiv Seva and the anti-Sikh nazi Arya Samaj agenda?

The S.P from what I understand disbanded years ago (mid 90's) ,basically the guys started it off as a good thing and as they got older they got into legit bussinesses and bowed out but still had alot of sway among younger generations who carried it forward but they couldnt really live up to the standards of their predecessors also some started to misuse and abuse the name for own personal gains....ie sorting out personal feuds by using the name.Ive even heard of a well known old boy (whos name gets mentioned here in not too endearing terms) trying to control a Gurdawara........ As for members when you say 1200 those were the days when Dal Singh used to go around the country and alot of the youth used to sign up to monthly newsletters .So yes there may have been 1200 but the ones that were doing hits and excacting justice? ...probably around 100 ish now thats just speaking for Southall,Slough,East London...There was a good network in place but it could have been much better .Personal differences also got in the way....Have to agree with KopSingh (even if u support Scumpool)LOL... Old nungs and Smokes put their differences aside and formed into what was the S.P at that time (mid 90's) Slough lot didnt want anything to do them but at that time had some locals doing the hits and the origonal S.P from what I understand were old Donkeys and other lads from Handsworth ....Right I hope that clears that up...

No? Well I suppose that's why Sikhs of all castes cling onto the caste system. I think what you've posted above is an extremely fine (as in razor-like) distinction that goes over the head of most Sikhs --- me included.
