  1. i tried quinoa and belief me its delicious and easy to cook too. You can have it as a replacement for rice. Its only the cost factor that jumps in to prevent frequent use. You can have it with your normal dhaal sabji and especially sholeya dhi sabji,

  2. I dont see anything wrong with them sending back guys who are lying about being political refugees. The ones facing genuine danger from Punjab Police should however be allowed to stay.

  3. She can convert into a sahajdhari form. Read up on sahajdharis, they have co-existed with the amritdharis for centuries and are very much part of our community without having to observe the kakkaars and other compulsory outward signs. But she has to give up all ties with former religion and only believe in the 10 Gurus and Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

  4. could make cauliflower 'rice' instead http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide/whats-best-way-cook-cauliflower-rice http://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-cauliflower-rice-couscous-cooking-lessons-from-the-kitchn-203344 I'm very much against all the hyped superfoods ...our ancestors didn't need all that to survive and thrive ...I will agree to safeguard essential minerals need to ONLY use seasalt which is minimally processed (like cornish/maldon) or if you are feeling flush himalayan (I worry about open casting mining for this in the hills)

  5. The turban is not exciusive to Sikhism. Muslim [Arabs wore it and some still do] Hindus have and do, Yogis and so on. In Africa it is worn as a tribal headgear. He is not a Sikh neither does it state he is? https://assets.vg247.com/current//2015/10/dhalsim_street_fighter_5.jpg He's doing the Yogi thap postion.

  6. Hi I have just been reading about our exposure to electromagnetic radiation. It sort of fatigues the body and drives people to look for some sort of relief. I just wanted to say that maybe you need to look into your exposure as it seems like you talk alot on the phone and use computer at work too. When you were not talking to your friends you seemed to have lesser craving for the products. Worth looking into I would say. It is a bit worrying about how much our kids are being exposed to this electromagnetic radiation so early in life. Computers and tablets at school all the time. Internet and tablets and games at home. Their brains are so delicate absorbing the magnetism and causing behaviour changes. Take a kid off the computer or tablet and they will be finding any excuse to get back to it. Overall you have done well for the month. Perhaps aim for the year. Any habit to get deeply ingrained into your daily practice needs the time of an year. Keep it up.

  7. The fact that there are gullible Sikhs who rely on slogans such as the land of the free etc etc, to deal with their grievances just shows how low we have fallen. Imbecility to it's greatest extant.

  8. Brother, we cannot play God. If it is her destiny to marry this fellow, she will marry him.

  9. Interfaith marriages held at the Gurdwara are also in the will of Vaheguru, does not make them right though. It's not upon looking down on anyone but sticking to Sikhi asools. Even if we take Sikhi out of the picture for a sec, it is a kick in the teeth for any parent when children blatantly go against their wishes and leave them between a rock and a hard place for life.

  10. I have been preaching patience on this board and living in Waheguru's will. We must find the fine line of balance between blind faith in God and faith in God. This Dhunda needs to be taught a lesson. He has disgraced Dasam Patshah's bani and continues to lie on stages. He gave an interview on Punjabi TV show "Des Pardes" which aired on Saturday night. During the interview he stated that the Sarbat Khalsa was a "conference of pakhandi babas" and proclaimed that Panthpreet Singh, Dhadrianwale and himself are heroes for not attending this "conference". This man lacks principal and ethics. He is a mughal who has taken birth in the family of Sikh people and is destined to destroy Sikhism.

  13. A Sikh is any human being who faithfully believes in (i) One Immortal Being, (ii) Ten Gurus, from Guru Nanak Dev to Guru Gobind Singh, (iii) The Guru Granth Sahib, (iv) The utterances and teachings of the ten Gurus and (v) the baptism bequeathed by the tenth Guru, and who does not owe allegiance to any other religion, is a Sikh Does this mean that the Sehajdhari concept is flawed, I mean who first coined this term?? If a person is faithful to Satguru Ji this would mean they would opt to follow their bachans wholeheartedly. I accept this also means that the majority of Sikhs are not defined as Sikhs, especially if they have not taken Amrit and entered the Sikh University. If someone cuts their hair, smokes, sessions etc, I'm not convinced they are any type of Sikh, even Sehajdhari.

  14. Four Principles Of Spirituality The First Principle States: Whomsoever you encounter is the right one" This means that no one comes into our life by chance. Everyone who is around us, anyone with whom we interact, represents something, whether to teach us something or to help us improve a current situation. The Second Principle States: "Whatever happened is the only thing that could have happened" Nothing, absolutely nothing of that which we experienced could have been any other way. Not even in the least important detail. There is no "If only I had done that differently…, then it would have been different…". No. What happened is the only thing that could have taken place and must have taken place for us to learn our lesson in order to move forward. Every single situation in life which we encounter is absolutely perfect, even when it defies our understanding and our ego. The Third Principle states: "Each moment in which something begins is the right moment" Everything begins at exactly the right moment, neither earlier nor later. When we are ready for it, for that something new in our life, it is there, ready to begin. The Fourth Principle states: "What is over, is over" It is that simple. When something in our life ends, it helps our evolution. That is why, enriched by the recent experience, it is better to let go and move on. If these words strike a chord, it's because you meet the requirements and understand that not one single snowflake falls accidentally in the wrong place!

  15. I have glanced through- all sects on that website..some are heretic hostile cults i agree but with that being said..filtering the heretic ones..just look at the diverse ( beautiful garden) of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj, population of sikhs is probably more than 200 million than just mere 20 million. Shame on singh sabha knee je rk reactions that instead of finding middle ground within that diverse garden somewhere. They have totally pushed these sects and demarginalized them and pushed to the corner to the point that they want nothing to do with Sikhs..!!! Singh sabha did lot of good work, but have failed short to address very fine and underlining issues in the path...i.e - racist attitude towards dalits(lost huge following of dalits converting to sikhism), instead of understanding the diversity shoved nirmale, udasi, sevapanthis to the corner and segregated them from the panth, whitewash our sikh heritage- golden temple!! You can see beauty of diversity in the picture, fakirs meditating on lap of guru maharaj creation- sri darbar sahib!!!!!!!!!!

  16. i am not a guy so i can't say exactly whether they would or would not. but from what i read based on evolutionary theory, men tend to prefer virgins and are not exactly open to the idea of having their wife being a "second-hand and used good"...if you get my drift. just wait and see what the guys have to say.
