  1. Apart from Jesus cant think of any virgin births. I think Christ's birth is the only truly verified and proven virgin conception that all agree was a miracle.

  2. whose traditions ? are you Sikh or Hindu ? Did you believe the BS pictures made of Bebe Nanaki ji tying rakhdri on Guru Nanak Dev ji just like the Hindus want? If she could see Srisht ka Palanhaar in front of her and not lose faith in his protection , do we lose faith in Him to do worldy buying and selling of affections ? ...If you believe in Rakhdri maybe you happyily wave off your womenfolk to dheean in your ignorance also... I've heard that's also a big moneyspinner...

  3. What do we say when we preech? Ie what are our techniques we use for persuading people that Sikhism is the right and true path? Lets face it. If we dont go out and say Sikhism is the true path. Then will anyone bother becoming Sikhs? Apart from those who are quite intellegent and enlightened who will be able to appreaciate what Sikhism is. But the average person on the street will find it difficult to comprehend the message and beauty of Sikhism. For instance muslims go around making arguements for islam and have various techniques for converting. ie they tend to say everone apart from a muslim is going to hell. Which frightens people into converting. What do Sikhs have and what can we say to get the message through of our faith. We need something that will open their eyes and make them interested in our faith and beliefs. We need need to use language and concepts that truly touch their hearts and make them connect. If we dont think our path is the truest path. will anyone else think that? We need a message that resonates with the masses. Uk is basically athiest. So we have alot of people who we could make Sikh. At the moment Sikhs basically come across as a religion and faith that does not seek or really wants anyone to become Sikh. But our converting technique needs to be good. What can we say that will get them to become Sikhs and prove to them that Sikhism is the best faith. Ie any miracles performed?

  6. How dare you question Mary as not being a virgin!! It was a miraculous conception. Jesus was born in a barn and stable as all hotels were fully booked at the time. There were also the three wise men. It has all be proven and verified. Also at the time the was no tripadvisor or booking.com to find a room The bible is the word of God. Stop doubting it!! All should accept jesus as the saviour! Amen and Hallelujah YOU JUDAS

  7. I agree, i think we should celebrate rakhri. It celebrates a brother and sister relationship, which tells us how high our culture was. Compared to the west, which celebrates valentines day. Also all.countries and ppl need holidays. To break up the monotony and bring the family together. In the old days rakhri was good. It gave women a chance to visit their peke. Or the bro to visit his sisters saure and check up on her and see if she is being treated right. As there was no communicatin back then. Like no letters or phones. Also we should remember our culture and religion. Not only the religion. Look at the 3ho ppl, or afghani sikhs. They r different from us because their culture is different. Even tho.we have the same religion. I dont think english ppl should forget their language or ancestors or famiky when they convert to sikhi.

  8. honestly these 'virgin' births are written many years after to make more of the avtars arrival ... realistically Jospeh and Mary had a normal marriage and the result was Jesus but that may not have been mysterious and holy enough for the early churches who wanted to venerate the messenger above the message in the flavour of their previous gods and goddesses . parallels with previous religions have been drawn by scholars including rewritting jesus history to coincide with pagan festivals . Our First Guru came after an older sister did this make him any lesser , no ...so leave all this mythmaking to the lost ...

  9. In katha, i have heard that in satjug, ppl were really good. And there was no kaam and ppl were powerful. So they could have children from just staring at each others eyes instead of intimacy. Also have you seen mahabharat? The devi/devte, the hindu gods could bless ppl with children in virgin birth

  16. Meditation kept the Thai boys trapped in a cave astonishingly calm July 10, 2018 by PAUL RATNER The story of the Thai boys soccer team trapped in a cave for two weeks has captivated millions of people around the world. Lost since June 23rd, the group spent ten days without any contact with the outside world. It was finally discovered on July 2nd and rescued on July 10th. It turned out that Ekapol Chanthawong, the 25-year-old coach of the 12-player Wild Boars soccer team, is a former Buddhist monk. He spent a decade living as a monk and is a practitioner of meditation. It is that skill that has been credited with keeping the boys calm during this ordeal. In fact, when the British divers discovered them after ten days, the group was meditating. Aisha Wiboonrungrueng, the mother of the 11-year-old Chanin, who was trapped in the cave, thinks the coach’s background definitely helped in this situation. Watching the video of the moment the boys were found, she thought it was very noteworthy how calm they were. “Look at how calm they were sitting there waiting,” she said. ”No one was crying or anything. It was astonishing.” Leah Weiss, a Standford expert taught by the Dalai Lama, told CNBC that meditating played a key role in keeping the group alive. It’s a kind of mental training that improves focus and compassion, according to the expert. “For Buddhists, meditation is a go-to when distressed or in danger,” Weiss said. “Cognitive resources that would otherwise be hijacked by the threat can be accessed once again, meaning that problem-solving capacities increase." In particular, she pointed out that "given that insufficient air and food was a major issue for the trapped boys, meditation is actually a very practicalresponse to both of these concerns." Meditation creates a calming effect by slowing down the heart rate, breathing and metabolism, said Weiss. It also lowers the levels of cortisol and oxygen utilization. A meditating person would also emit less carbon dioxide. More details about how the boys got trapped in the cave in the first place are to be uncovered, but it looks to be a very dramatic real-world demonstration of the power of meditation. The incident confirms a steadily growing body of research that shows how meditation and mindfulness practices lead to lower stress levels, improved positivity, and creativity as well as clearer focus and protection from depression.
