  1. I don't really believe in the western concept of dating, but if they are openly doing the 4 Bhujer Kurehits they simply aren't compatible with someone who doesn't do the 4 Bhujer Kurehits. It's easy to be friends with them, but when there isn't a compatibility spiritually; where does it actually go?

  4. Would you ever date a non religious person? I am not speaking about an atheist, but more so someone who is not very religious. Let’s say they let you stay close to your religion & culture and are ok with passing down your culture/values to future children. Do you think that’s ok? I think I’ve met the perfect person however he’s not very religious. He belongs to a different culture however our cultures are similar and compatible. All of my values line up and they are extremely respectful.

  7. I've only recently heard about these stories, though I am aware of that picture that floated around on the internet. Is there any truth to these claims? On one hand, we have people claiming they knew Singhs who were with them during that period. On the other hand, we have these stories coming up.

  14. Yes my mother had two operation both making her pesh matter of fact. BEFORE the operation she did ring Sants about this. Sant Ji said it was fine its all up to the individual if u want operation take it, if not then don't. But she did have to pesh because it was a BAJJAR KUREHIT. Singh Sahib don't get Shaheed Singhs involved yes they are a perfect example on how to live in Sikhi, but we aren't as powerful as them. Our Sikhs will die for the guru that's a fact, but that kind of rehit only a few take up (not eating bread, not taking operations because of hair, not drinking soft drinks etc) some people cant keep such rehit like the operation example you gave, if they do have a operation do u call that individual bad ???... think about it .... yes don't look down on others that's for sure ... being hypocrite who knows you might be one yourself .......just saying this singh made a mistake and he knows it from the information RugbySingh gave in the forum, but there be more to the story

  20. One common method is to "say" WAHE when you inhale and "say" GURU when you exhale. Saying GURU when you exhale is possible, but how can you "say" WAHE when you inhale (as you cannot make a sound with your voice when inhaling)? Is WAHE supposed to be said in the mind, and GURU out loud? Taking it further, when doing mool mantar jap, are there any similar techniques (breathing / timing etc) for reciting the moolmantar? Can Sant Ji go into a bit more detail about the 4 types of mukti avasthas? What is the difference and which is the highest? How are they acheived? For a beginner, while doing paath, what is the best thing to concentrate on (the meaning, pronounciation, just listening etc)? In the diary of Sant Baba Isher Singh Ji Maharaj (Rara Sahib), they say that Gurbani are like paisa, Jap Ji Sahib are like Rupees, Mool Mantar is like Gold coins and Gurmantar is like diamonds. Please can Baba Ji clarify / go into more detail as to why there is a difference between them? This is because we are (commonly) taught that Gurbani/Moolmantar,Gurmantar are the same.

  24. When once begins to reach higher stages of spirituality, other avataars and devtaa's come to get such a gursikh's darshan.

  25. alias ji As far as darshan is concerned, Gurmat preaches seeking darshan of Akal Purakh. Darshan of other avtars is not the goal of a Gursikh. I feel that the highest darshan is that of nirgun saroop of Akal Purakh. Through meditation on Gurbani and Naam one can achieve darshan of Akal Purakh. Maybe through meditation Gursikhs have had darshan of other avtars, prophets etc. However a Gursikh will not focus on these and continue to do bhagti to get darshan of their preetam piare . Only darshan of supreme avtar, supreme prophet, sri Akal Purakh can quench the thirst of a Gursikh. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

  26. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! The main reason for doing chaaliya/ chaleese is to form a new habit e.g. amritvela, incresing nitnem etc. However, they are also done to achieve specific goals or wishes or for health etc. In brief, you're meant to make an asaan e.g. a chaadar or cloth in a clean place, keep some water close by, light a jyoth and dhoof/samagri. Do ardas and start the jaap. Should be started at the same time exactly everyday for 40 days. The first 2 weeks will be the hardest, then it begins to become a habit and gets easier. Not easy, but with Guru Ji's kirpa, it's possible. Best done with the guidance of a Mahapursh, or someone who's done them before. Akaal Sahai!

  27. i agree with Shinda veerji... sitting here and contemplating about where we came from, this evolution stuff, is a complete and utter waste of time (in my opinion)... this knowledge will not better any of our lives.. it won't increase ur spirituality... it won't take u to sach khand faster... we need to focus on the NOW.. the present... 'cause we don't know when our next breath will be.. no point in wasting our time, breathe, and resources discussing somethin that has no effect on anybodys life directly.. okay pher? Vaheguru Jee Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Jee Kee Fateh!!
