  4. Maximum respect for standing up against these Masands and even better in front of the most amount of Sangat I've seen in a single programme. Just this message will cause a ripple effect across Punjab and hopefully change the tide against the tyrants 'Badal Chands'.
  5. If you're going to convert woman @ least have the decency to change the associated Sikh name to an Islamic one. :stupidme:
  6. Presumably you have complained to him or someone above him. If they are not responding to your legitimate concerns try and capture evidence of him being discriminatory based on race and take the company to a tribunal. Just because you are a contractor does not mean you do not have the same legal rights as a permanent employee. Racism in the workplace or elsewhere is not only illegal but a criminal offence in the UK. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/Documents/Advice%20factsheets/Employment/e-unfair-treatment-at-work---race.pdf
  7. https://www.sikh24.com/2015/10/01/jathedar-camp-exposed-by-sauda-saadh-ram-raheem-shocking-revelations-from-the-horses-mouth/#.Vg2WSOxViko AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab (October 1, 2015)—A shocking video recording has recently begun circulating the internet in which ABP News India do a live interview of the Sirsa Dera chief, Gurmeet Ram Raheem. During the interview, recorded a few months ago, the Sauda Saadh discloses how members of the Jathedar camp had approached him in negotiating, what is believed to be, a pardon letter some time prior to last week’s developments. Ram Raheem reveals in the interview how people from the Jathedar camp visited him on many occasions, coming back and forth with amendments to the letter, which he claims he had accepted at every stage. He says, “the negotiators didn’t find it necessary for me to visit the Akal Takht, they didn’t ask me to visit and the thought never crossed my mind, but they were okay with me submitting letters.” The Akal Takht commands the ultimate respect of the Khalsa Panth, but its current appointed Jathedar, widely believed to be under the influence of Punjab’s politicians, has recently accepted a so-called “apology” from the Sauda Saadh without consulting the Sikh community. It is under mysterious circumstances the five Singh Sahibans at the Akal Takht were either forced or pressured to give a pardon to the Dera chief, who had hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community in 2007 when he attempted to imitate the tenth Guru. The highly controversial action by the Jathedars, considered to be traitorous by a large section of the community worldwide, is deemed to have been a political move in what many say is the result of closed door meetings to secure the Dera vote bank ahead of the 2017 state elections. Major Sikh organisations from across the world and high profile Parcharaks have all condemned the decision, whilst the likes of the DSGMC have gone out their way to defend the move, evidently due to their political affiliations with the ruling Akali Dal (Badal). Even Akali Dal loyalists like the Taksal’s Harnam Singh Dhumma of the Sant Samaj have taken a stand against the move. The Punjabi Tribune has recently revealed that Sukhbir Badal, deputy Chief Minister of Punjab and President of the Akali Dal (Badal), had closed door meetings with the Dera chief a couple of weeks ago in Mumbai where the issue of pardon and release of the cult leaders film in Punjab was discussed. After the Akal Takht management issued the pardon on 24 September 2015, within 24 hours Ram Raheem’s second film ‘MSG-2 The Messenger’ is allowed to be released in Punjab. Soon after, Ram Raheem instructs his followers to withdraw all pending cases registered against Sikhs. This interview, recorded before the current happenings, positively corroborates the Jathedar’s and their political leaders have been colluding with the Sirsa Dera behind closed doors, without taking the Khalsa Panth into confidence. The Akal Takht certainly did not get an unexpected letter, but was most likely an architect in this whole ploy to fool the Punjabi’s. sell outs since Santa slept with narakdhari Gandi

  9. In addition to V&A there are quality Indo-Persian weapons at the The Wallace Collection. Haven't been there for 20 odd years, but there is a breast plate with Gurbani inscription, small Sikh weapons and other impressive armour on the first floor.
  10. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-34336826 Pick of the article..........HAHAA! "A donkey is like a housewife. It has to toil all day and, like her, may even have to give up food and water. In fact, the donkey is a shade better, for while the housewife may sometimes complain and walk off to her parents' home, you'll never catch the donkey being disloyal to his master," the Times of India quoted the Hindi language textbook as saying.
  11. Nothing new, Muslims have been trying to claim Guru Sahib as a follower of Islam even during their time on Earth. You must have read the famous Sakhi about Guru Jee's joti jot right? Even Hindus were at it then.
  12. Its good you are organising these events. First thing you need to get straight is that a Gurdwara is not a 'temple'. Personally, I'd take them to visit Park Avenue on a Sunday afternoon just after midday as it is far busier than Havelock and the experience I find is more suited to finding inner peace. For info, November 15, is when the Nagar Kirtan takes place in Southall for Guru Nanak Sahibs Gurpurab. If non Sikhs want to experience meditation, take them to Park Avenue any day between 0400-0500 in the morning for Simran. Outside of this there are many University Sikh soc events that take place frequently in and around London. Then of course you have the Langar Seva Societies performing excellent work in London and the Midlands.
  13. Niddar and his chele either have not read Dasam Bani or have misunderstood the many Shabads that forbid idol worships, discount hindu scriptures, rituals and customs and highlight some of the inadequacies in Brahma, Vishnu and Krishan.
  14. Taksalis do not drink tea in India. They certainly do not serve it at Mehta or Bhindri.
  15. Chaa is addictive no doubt but not in the same category as Panj Patey. So interesting choice Nihangs are making there! I do not believe tea is harmful although studies on its impact on the body are inconclusive. I drink one cup a day of Indian tea made in the traditional way (changitraan ghaarke), not boiled dishwater known affectionately known as 'Gora chaa'. Anyways, it keeps me going for 24 hours. If it's any consolation Bhai Rama Singh Ji used to also drink tea after the simran programmes in Hounslow, so there!
  16. I'd be more concerned if the male took off his dastar and started wearing make up. Joking aside, without the dastar and darra a Sikh is not a Sardar. My wife wears a dastar also, but the last time I checked, it is not compulsory for bibian to tie one, just that it makes perfect sense from a practical point of view. These bibian are not committing a kurehit in the eyes of the Panth, unless of course we want to start another never ending my Jatha vs Jatha debate.
  17. True it is a sign of royalty. Some buffoons forget to remove it when they enter Guru Sahibs Darbar on their wedding day, I suppose the fault lies with the ignorant people guiding them. As has been said already, why wear one anyway.
  18. Possibly one of the New York Samagams as the Singh to 'his' right is from NY. ok found it
  19. The best thing is to learn Punjabi and not rely on translations. Translations can never do justice to the depth of Gurbani, the meanings are simply watered down and no matter how learned the translator they do not do justice to Gurbani and Anand cannot be experienced in the same fashion. Reading a translation is akin to snorkelling as opposed to diving in and getting full laha.
  20. Knowing Malhi, the sell out he is, he'll have especially removed on that day and replaced with Gandhis!
  21. There was obviously a split. Some Singh's consumed meat after hunting game themselves and bhang, others were strict veggies. Marijuana was used as a painkiller, increasing concentration and kept the body cool in the scorching heat, providing it was used in the correct quantities of course. First I've heard of Singh's drinking alcohol however!!
