Agree very much with most of what you have said. I think ‘liberal’ parenting can make some suceptible to this still . I have mentioned it before either here or on SA, but I think massive awareness needs to be targeted towards the ‘freshies’ and their children who have only come to the UK in recent years. They might have had limited experience /exposure to the stories/news on grooming and who might be more likely to consider other communities as ‘bhain’/‘bhra’ than we would . No idea how our British Afghan Sikhs brothers/sisters see this because they have been persecuted in Afghanistan but apparently some work closely with/employ non-Sikh Afghans to work for them. The ‘awareness’ campaigns seem quieter now (at least SAS seem to be quieter now). Anyone know how much work the likes of them and SYUK do at Universities snd Colleges ?
