do we Sikh's celebrate Diwali & rakhri when they aren't Sikh festivals

Diwali is for Hindus.... but on the same day we have BANDI CHHOR DIVAS...

that is when Guru ji got out of jail and brought out all the other kings with him. Guru Ji was allowed to bring out as many ppl who can hold onto his chola, so he got a special chola made to bring all the prisoners out with him...

Rakhri, is a cultural thing... like do we really need a string on our wrist to remind us to protect our sisters?

We already have our Kara on our wrist to remind us we have given our hand and ourselves to Guru Ji. A sikh looks out for his sisters brothers mothers daugheters, etc everyday and a Sikh doesnt need rakhri's to remind him of this duty...

diwali, we dont celebrate diwali as such, on the same day i think it was sri guru ram das dev ji was released from prison along with the rest of the 50 rajas in the prison.

rakhri, this is a rajput tradition, as some sikhs are/were/come from a rajput family rajputs, they do it too. paji has alredy clarified wat rakhri is all about

But u know when you go to the gurudwara on bandi chor divas ...why are all the people lighting candles ....does it mean they are celebrating diwali
