Think about the message the world is getting from all these fights in Gurudwara Sahib about SIKHISM...

May Waheguru bless these people and save us all from more damage in Sikhism.

Khalsa starr is true in saying how would we manage a nation if we can't have peace within ourselves at GURUDWARA.

Ohhh Bhai, Gurudwara sahib is home of my beloved GURU Granth Sahib jee PLEASE don't disturb my GURU after SUKHASAN and if you want to fight then go on to street and do whatever you want to do but PLEASE don't bring BAD name to GURUDWARA SAHIB PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.........

Akal bakshoo mere sachhe patshah sannoo....

Im not surprised, this is the true state of affairs. Using kirpans to stab eachother. It's not the first time

People talk of getting khalistan, imagine the politics in that.

THen we must convince these groups that want khalistan that they should think about this stuff before it's too late. Where talking about millions of ppl's lives.

BAck to the topic, how many times has this happened elsewhere? is this between moderates and extremests? (proper name please).

What's also disturbing is some of the reasoning here that resembles gestural abstraction (look it up it's fun) more than logic.

Anyway, nice comment about the excommunication. Should be some strict precedent that becomes known where there is excommunication should a kakkar be used where it is not as a last resort of self defense.

This way when this happens along with the sensationalism and skewed spotlight that Sikh minority has to face, there is also a knowledge that such an act is formally censured by Sikhs.

Charges Follow Scuffle at Temple

April 23, 2005 — A violent altercation at a Sikh temple in this Burlington County community Friday night left six people injured and several others facing charges.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the disturbance at the Gurdwara Sahib temple, which occurred around 8:15 p.m. But Springfield Police Chief Kenneth Gerber said it may have resulted from a dispute involving members "who were no longer in good standing."

At least two of the victims were stabbed, Gerber said, but none of the injuries was considered life-threatening. The injured were being treated at Virtua Hospital in Mount Holly.

Stephen Jones, a New Jersey State Police spokesman, said charges were pending against at least six people, and several others were being questioned late Friday night.

The Sikh religion originated about 500 years ago in northern India. The Springfield temple, operated by Khalsa Darbar of South Jersey Inc., opened in December 2002 with about 150 members.

happened at burlington gw, like 30 mins from where i live, messed up

before this stabbing, after alot of fights, a judge forced the gw to pay for a surveiillance system to be installed inside the premises.

soon thereafter the politicians had another fight and pulled out talwars -> caught on tape. The police the decided to remove all shasters from the gw.

now people get stabbed....politics.....WAHEGURU

Yeh well thats what you get when 'clever' people decide to have elections and subsequently rival communities at a gurdwara. A political battleground system which attracts only the power hungry and is NOT suited for Guru Ghar.
