:doh: @ well this has been an exciting week for me. So far i had 5 interviews in 3 days and today was my Graduation day which went well, tomrrow i am back in london for 6th interview.

out of my first 5 interviews i got two job offers and two 2nd interviews. But this incedent occured on my 3rd interview on Tuesday in Chesington.

I just had an interview and was running late for another interview so i called a taxi and the driver came after a bit and drove me to the required address. When i got out of the taxi i was feeling very cheery as I had just had a good interview so i gave him a £2 tip, actual taxi fare was £8, i gave him £10. So he called me to the front window and since he had heard me on the fone during the journey he said to me,

Listen, you are going for an interview right, You know this is White man's country (The driver was morrocon, muslim), you cant grow beard here, if u want the job, you should shave. It is the culture here.

I said

Do you drink? He said "No, i am Muslim", then i said, well you should drink because this is a white man's country and That is the Culture here

Then i said to him that its not what you look like (too a certain extent), its what you can do that counts. I left to have my interview and now i am going for my final interview to the same place tomrrow

So i had 80% success rate 4 positive responses from 5 interviews, which i am very happy about. The message of this topicis that, A Sikh is capable of achieving anything that anyother person can achieve if not more, after all we are Sardars ("Leaders") :TH:

So to all the Guys out there, dont change ur self for others, Change others for urself. :nihungsmile:

I will leave you with the picture of the cut i have gotton on my foot from walking for 3 days in london, running around , travelling in trains wearing office shoes which i hadnt worn for 6 months grrr
