No one did more than Singh Sabha. Not even close. Bhai Randheer SIngh never belived in all of Dasam Granth. He didn't even translate chariters. Why not? Think about it.

Sikh population was down to a million before Singh Sabha. They brought it back to 10 million by 1920s. So what are you on about? Singh Sabha removed statues from Darbar Sahib. Where were the puratan jathas? What were their doign when statues were placed in Darbar Sahib? The fact is that everything was brahmnified so to say this maryada is right and this maryada is puratan is just a big pure lie.

As for the jathas not agreeing, it is just ego. Simple as that. Gurmat is one. Not ten different views on same thing. SGPC maryada is still better than all other ones. Then comes AKJ. What is Brahmanvaad is Brahmanvaad. SGPC isn't illeterate enough to follow blind rituals on the name of religion. Yes, there are corrupt people now, alot of them, but you will still find great Gurmukhs there. Also there are taksalis who don't believe in all of Dasam Granth. Even the sons of a lot of Kharkoos follow the Panthic maryada as approved by Sri Akaal Takht Sahib. Jathaydaar has no balls, otherwise he would have summoned all dissing Panthic maryada.

As for waking up the Kaum. Attack on Darbar Sahib woke up the kaum more than anything. SGPC still the best option. If there was no SGPC, these jathas would have finished Panth by killing each other over Gurudwara power.
