Whe We Called Sikh

IT may be fooled question but this come to my mind that

On baisakhi Guru Gobind singh Ji Made us KHALSA

so why we write our religion SIKH not KHALSA,

I know sikh mean student but who given us this word "sikh" guru gobind singh ji ?

To become a true sikh, you take amrit and become Khalsa.

The khalsa are truly dedicated ones, simmel could you explain more in depth?

Guru Sahib made the Khalsa Panth. The community is the Khalsa. Guru Sahib also wrote that "Khalsa mero Roop Hai Khaas". The representation of the Guru is the Panj Pyare, not one Sikh.

So Sikhs are part of the Khalsa Panth. With the above points, it begs the question whether a single person can call himself/herself Khalsa.

Again, my ignorant views.

khalsa= someone whos initiated into khalsa panth

sikh= someone who is following Guru Jis teachings

not all sikhs are members of the khalsa.

so what would the non amritdharis be called??

calling sikhi, khalsa would exclude people who havent taken amrit,

because you cant be a khalsa without amrit.

This is how i think of Sikhism, up to the 9th Guru Sikhism was a philosphy but when Guru Gobind Singh created the Khalsa Panth it was a religion that uniformed its followers.
