i need a ppt presentation on 1984

does anyone have a really good presentation on 1984 to educate the people in our SSA club... (mostly keshdari sikhs and some are not aware of 1984 and its aftermath)

since tomorrow 10-31-03 is the annv. of indira ghandi;s death.. ive decided that we first watch the movie Hawaien.. and then talk about 1984 ..

any more suggestions on what we can do?

Friend of mine did awesome Presentation that shows how indian leaders betrayed sikhs again and again.. I will be getting ahold of the materials in a week or so but i guess that will be too late for you.. My Advice wouldthat make the presentation more into Visual screening.. U r good in flash.. u can make something up

Btw.. another advice cut the hawayeeen movie after the scenes of delhi streets.. which is like approx 30-45 mins from starting.. (rest movie is bullcraapHuge silent propaganda)...

heres the outline

-- begin with pictures.. and what happened at the riots

-- then flash back to why indira gandi was shot.. Blue star operation.. and some pictures

-- then talk about the aftermath.. onto the 90s

-- then talk about justice and which direction we are headed as sikhs..

-- talk about how we need to remember our history.. and how Indian GOV is trying to change/hide our history (10th grade books example)

-- then play some clips from Immortal shaheedi..

-- compare our history with the jews.. and how we need to set that up as our model.

btw: i hate the (NO HIGHLIGHT.. NO COPY) script that saintsoldiers.net has.. what good is a website if you cant spread its message..??

once veer ms514 posted some info on operation shanti. Maybe u guys can request him to post it again.

Since most of the ppl in your group aren't into SIkhi, not cutting the stupid stuff from the movie might help. You can't just show them all the mass murders and killings without first introducing them to what led to such things. So maybe to get them interested in the movie, just let the scences and songs be there.
