Urgent Request For Gursikhs From London Area

Kurtas Ji , i just been reading the posts now , how did it go? did you manage to get it on camera, did you get lots of sangat to protest? Please keep us informed on what happened..........Thanks

One important point I would like to make clear, it was never intended to be a protest. It was to be a meeting with the Jathedar to present a petition or letter highlighting the problem and requesting action be taken by issuing a Hukumnama at the next meeting of all the Takht Singh Sahibs.

Due to my geographical location it would be hard to get there that is why I mentioned in the title thread that it was a request for Gursikhs from the London area. I emailed most the Sikh societies and sent txt messages to alert them to the email but no one has responded. I also emailed R4GJ.

Maybe some GurSikhs from the area have taken on the sewa or maybe they cannot be bothered and would prefer to sit at home watching those fat people trying to prepare for the London marathon on BBC1. If it was in my local area (or even an hours drive away) then I would have gone. I hope someone has organised something but for some reason I do not feel anything will be done to meet the Jathedar by the Gursikhs of London.

Maybe there are no GurSikhs in the London area. If there are I hope they have the energy to meet with the Jathedar. It is no good complaining about problems after the Jathedar has gone and expecting action. It will simply not happen, face to face meetings are required to push the agenda.

As Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji used to say if you put all your fingers together and make a fist it has more impact than a slap. If a group got together and highlighted the problem to the Jathedar it would have more of an impact then just one person trying to make a difference.

I wish I lived in London.

It has given me a good idea for future. Everybody should approach all kirtani, parcharaks, Sant and Jathe about beadbi issues. Encourage them talk about it on stage. Ask them to approach anybody they know with influence, who may be able to make a difference.

It is our responsibility to take charge.

Out of all the Sikh Socieities I contacted not one has bothered to reply. I do not know if R4GJ sewadar have done anything but even they have not replied to an email.

Looks like no GurSikhs from the London area are concerned about these party halls.
