Akal Warrior, I'm sorry to say you've got the wrong attitude.

It is completly understable that young Kaurs don't want to tell anyone. Whether we like it or not, we're froma Punjabi culture. You know how parents are: 'Loki ki kain ge?'

They have all the right in the world to come as anonymous persons who want advise from their Sikh Sisters and brother.

I agree that they should stand up and say, but this does not mean that they reveal their name and everything on a public forum.

Bhenjis who have been subjected to this behaviour of the so-called gianis, please email Pheena Bhaji personally, or PM him if you feel that you cannot reveal above infor (answers to ques) on this forum.

YA...maybe ur right, i think i did go kinda crazy on my last post...its just that it really makes me upset that these guys are getting away with it. I wish girls would stand up and do something, regardless of what people will say. At least something horrible can be preventd then. I think i did have the wrong attitude in my last post, and i apologize for that.

Who remembers the Birmingham play called Behzti?

That was about a gianee who molests a Sikh girl in a gurdwara.

Remember at the time people say this can never happen to us?

Well, the theatre was smashed up, and the writer was subjected to death threats because of it.

But hey, who says that we Sikhs are in denial about such things?

Don't you know we Sikhs are super human and can never have bad people amongst us?

What, you mean you don't think that? What are you, part of some kind of Brahminical conspiracy?

Now that would be a real behzti no.gif

Prem, just like the actual act of molestation in Guruji's hazoori is blasmphemous, so is the it's depiction. I would never tolerate someone trying to "make a point" by setting a play in the hazoori of Guru maharaj and implying/showing molestation.

There are other ways of bringing change. You don't need to defile the sactity of Guru darbar to do it. What Pheena is doing is absolutely the right way. The behzti play was the wrong way.

The sanctity of haroozi was not violated - it was a play - a depiction and description of an attack which does not take place on stage or in the presence of Maharaj but is reported after it occurs.

Sikhs are going to look very silly when and if these cases come to light and it is remembered how a play dealing with this issue was stopped by violence and death threats. In the aftermath on every radio programme and interview there were Sikhs saying this can never take place by our priests.

The truth as we know is different.

One more thing - a play about the molestation of women by a gianee is not as bad as the actual molestation of a girl by a gianee. That is ridiculous. Even if you say that the offence to depict it is great, surely you are not saying that the depiction itself which takes place without an actual victim is as evil as the act itself, which results in an innocent girl being sexually violated by an evil man, in the cloth of our Guru?

That is another case of denial. I hope and pray that if and when these perverts are unmasked the same level of outrage and campaigning can be focussed on the criminals - although please spare us the lynch mobs and death threats - and please leave it to the police.

Although I think that tragically it will be hard for the girls to come forward because there really is a HUSH HUSH mentality - too much behzti you see, and the girls family would be pressurised, and our religion will continue to be violated by those who claim to act in the name and authority of Guruji.

That is a pure maifestation of kaal jug - when the lamb is snake.

i agree, these girls need to stand up and do something b4 these "gianees" give a bad name to the kaum, i never knew this was a problem, prolly more so in england, anyway, i think the quickest and safest resolution wud b for the sikhs living in these areas to get together-mayb even ppl that post here online- y dont u guys meet up at a library or something and u guys can go as a group and confront the "gianee". scare him, anybody that has ever been harassed, speak up, u dont need to tell ur rents if they're not supporting u, u can do it this way smoothly and secretively and if u scare the "gianee"

it'll get the job done.

no one noes except for u guys and the "gianee"...

OR go as a group and tell another trusted gianne that we don want this to be heard by everyone because we dont want a bad name for the gurdwara but the gianee NEEDS to be removed or further "action" will take place diepig.gif

My dear brothers/sisters,

I have just heard that a young kaur HAS been molested by a gianee and she was in tears after the attack.

She has read this site before but as NO KAUR IS GIVING ANY DETAILS her response is why should she bother telling any one……….no one cares…

My answer to her is we need details !!!!!!!!!!

Okay the girl will never have to confront the gianee in person because the singhs will

And they will after investigation either get them sacked or deported !

But please kaurs we need u to speak to us…..

If u tell us so and so gianee…

we will keep a eye on them and if they do ANY THING

God help them……

    • Umm, that's totally irrational, bro. There are plenty of prakash-dara Singhs in Punjab (less than we'd like, but still plenty). No one cares that you are sabat soorat. It isn't 1986. You can walk around in chola, kurta-pajama, or jeans. Whatever. If you want the look @dallysingh101 is referring to, just go into a cheap clothing shop (not a Western-style mall) and buy some shirts for 250 rupees or a track suit for 2000 rupees. You'll get the cheap stuff made in some sweatshop in Bombay.
    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
