Guest WAT THE HELL

Actually I found so many Gursikhs through that :@

You see.. we can just have the decency not to accept the invitation of any people who wants to flex u.

This world is kalyug, so many boys and girls go to school/college to flex.. shall we go to forests and live under bushes instead?

theres a big difference in hi5 n going to a school, youve jus blown it out of proportion. what kind of stupid comparisen is that? you telling me u find it ok for any random people to go on that crap n view pictures of penjia? singhs,n singhnia putting pictures of themselves online?the whole things pure kaami, if u want to meet gurmukhs, go camps, go on things like this, sikhsangat, dont use hi5 as an excuse, i feel disgusted seeing the amount of people on there wearing bana! as if its a styla piece of clothing, bibia in dastaars, n patkhe?? n u find this ok??? how do you think mahraaj would feel, our father seeing his children on a stupid thing like that, where you have white, black, muslim people etc, all on there with there tops off, etc. n before you try turning it around n say you must have an account, i have a white friend on there who was on it at uni, n i seen pictures of a local singhni, which when clicked on displayed the rest of our people on, etc. have some sharm, and think who we are representing in a dastaar. its not about living in forests, hi5 is extra stuff that is not needed, you need to live a normal life, i agree, but hi5 can and should be avoided.especially by people in sikhi roop!

thank you for the constructive criticism..now please explain what u have just said :) Why do you think this?

you telling me u find it ok for any random people to go on that crap n view pictures of penjia? singhs,n singhnia putting pictures of themselves online?

answer: Nope lol
if u want to meet gurmukhs, go camps,

cant

go on things like this, sikhsangat, dont use hi5 as an excuse,

wont I be using Sikhsangat as an excuse to meet people? wacko.gif
i feel disgusted seeing the amount of people on there wearing bana! as if its a styla piece of clothing, bibia in dastaars, n patkhe?? n u find this ok???

i find people in baana inspiring :@ Wearing a patka isnt wrong.. I dont see your point.. please clarify?

how do you think mahraaj would feel, our father seeing his children on a stupid thing like that, where you have white, black, muslim people etc, all on there with there tops off, etc.

Fact: Internet = 90% porrn.. It was produced because of porrn. What are you doing online, with all these girls on the net taking their tops off? THink about it, we have a choice to either click on good links or bad links.

n before you try turning it around n say you must have an account, i have a white friend on there who was on it at uni, n i seen pictures of a local singhni, which when clicked on displayed the rest of our people on, etc.
you are well prepared :)
have some sharm, and think who we are representing in a dastaar.
its wrong to have pictures of urself in dastaar? I stil dont understand jio...

use ur brain if you have one, hi5 any random people can view your profile. its not essential for life, its a load of shyte, school is education! its apart of gresti jeevan! DUH

if u want to meet gurmukhs, go camps,
cant

Wen then u must be living a realy sheltered life if the only gurmukhs you get to meet is through hi5 and the internet!!!

go on things like this, sikhsangat, dont use hi5 as an excuse,

dnt come out with cheap come backs. sikhsangat is a discussion forum not a place to "make friends" or to get in contact with people. its to talk and discuss. hi5 is full of kaam. any random people can come to view your profiles.

i find people in baana inspiring Wearing a patka isnt wrong.. I dont see your point.. please clarify?

Banaa is guru roop. they on the same crap as people that are half naked, and putting out profiles just to flex. how would you feel seeing a singh in banaa in a pub? there is no need for any of Guru Sahibs sons to assosiate with hi5.

Fact: Internet = 90% porrn.. It was produced because of porrn. What are you doing online, with all these girls on the net taking their tops off? THink about it, we have a choice to either click on good links or bad links.

you have to type in a website to go on it mate! porn links dont just pop up on your screen! you make a choice to go on it or not, just like your hi5.

you come out with stupid come backs. you know as well as anyone else, hi5 is wrong. you make an excuse to go on it. just like people do to eat meat. they will adapt it to suit them selves. just like you have with hi5.

You cannot have real Sangat on the internet. Sangat is only available in person through meeting people in real life not chatting on the phone or via Instant Messenger, forums, etc. People who use the excuse of Sangat to flirt online need to get get a life and get out more and meet people.

Can someone explain to me why people have Khalsa on the end of their names. I thought it was only meant to be Kaur or Singh for sikhs.

About the caste system yeah its wrong to look down on people but its not wrong to be proud of your heritage. Ages ago i used to avoid the caste question so much because i thought it was wrong but then i realised why should I? Its my heritage. Just as most people here say they are proud to be SIkh, i am also proud to be Jatt. There is nothing difficult about this concept - the both can and do exist.

They are not against Sikhi because i don't treat people different, people are not limited by their caste which was the point Guru Ji was trying to make. If someone wants to be proud about their Heritage then i say go ahead. Doesn't matter what caste you are.

Oh about Hi5. Well yeah its common knowledge that people check each others friends through that. If you don't know this then i feel sorry for you. Ugly people are simply ignored or laughed at and to be honest anyone who has a Hi5 account is pretty much sad. I mean you add friends click on profiles etc......its rather all fake innit? Biggest WASTE of time ever.

I wouldn't say it was porn etc but i agree in that I don't see why any sane person would join these sites. I had a hi5 account and i closed it cos the whole concept is rather sad and i once had a freshie who sent me the most hillariest message ever. It read 'I am looking for a girl. Not just any girl. You could say it is someone to be my life partner. Someone who i can spend the rest of my life with. If you are this someone here is my msn and add me. Sat sri akal, salaam, namaste.' Man the ending made me laugh so much. Makes you think loser.

Facebook is another site i joined. Its more decent but i closed my account cos its purpose is pointless and in my life i don't want to be involved in things that waste my time. No matter what anyone says for the normal sane person they are pointless, fake and WASTES of TIME..

Also anyone who only has internet friends. Then seriously the biggest favour you can do yourself is disconnect your internet. I have met quite a few people through the net and some of them have no friends in real life. Its sad and the thing is they build this virtual world where people on the net are their only friends and then they delude themselves thinking they have lots of friends etc. But people trust make your friends in REAL LIFE... you will gain alot more that way compared to the time invested in random msn/mobile convos.

    • Definitely the Guru Sahibs would be a heavier Scriptures to handle. Dasam Granth is more towards Bir Rass, Guru Gobind Singh showed his Greatness (of course, they would never say this) by separating his own Baania.  And the BIGGEST test of all?? Do we try and read Dasam Granth, Understand n show respect like we do to SGGS? Or... Do we QUESTION it? Guru Gobind Singh Ji is testing us.
    • My wife will be going for an MRI scan next week but her Kara won’t physically come off.  Is there any way the mri scan can be done with the Kara still on?  The alternative is we will have to try to saw it off before the scan.
    • was researching this and came back to this thread. Also found an older thread:
    • Net pay after taxes. If you don't agree, think about this: If you were a trader and started off in China with silk that cost 100 rupees and came to India, and you had to pay total 800 rupees taxes at every small kingdom along the way, and then sold your goods for 1000 rupees, you'd have 100 rupees left, right? If your daswandh is on the gross, that's 100 rupees, meaning you have nothing left. Obviously, you owe only 10% of 100, not 10% of 1000. No, it's 10% before bills and other expenses. These expenses are not your expenses to earn money. They are consumption. If you are a business owner, you take out all expenses, including rent, shop electricity, cost of goods sold, advertising, and government taxes. Whatever is left is your profit and you owe 10% of that.  If you are an employee, you are also entitled to deduct the cost of earning money. That would be government taxes. Everything else is consumption.
    • No, bro, it's simply not true that no one talks about Simran. Where did you hear that? Swingdon? The entire Sikh world talks about doing Simran, whether it's Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh, Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi, or Sants. So what are you talking about? Agreed. Agreed. Well, if every bani were exactly the same, then why would Guru ji even write anything after writing Japji Sahib? We should all enjoy all the banis. No, Gurbani tells you to do Simran, but it's not just "the manual". Gurbani itself also has cleansing powers. I'm not saying not to do Simran. Do it. But Gurbani is not merely "the manual". Reading and singing Gurbani is spiritually helpful: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥  ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The Lord's Bani and the words are the best utterances. Ever sing hear and recite them, O brother and the Perfect Guru shall save thee. Pause. p611 Here Guru ji shows the importance of both Bani and Naam: ਆਇਓ ਸੁਨਨ ਪੜਨ ਕਉ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗਹਿ ਅਨ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The mortal has come to hear and utter Bani. Forgetting the Name thou attached thyself to other desires. Vain is thy life, O mortal. Pause. p1219 Are there any house manuals that say to read and sing the house manual?
