All Kirtan is good, no kirtan is bad, it is all Guru Ji De Bani regardless of who recites it. All Guru Ka Kirtanee should be treated with respect.

Yes, all keertan is good, but you can't say that you wouldn't rather listen to somebody that's more learned than somebody that isn't. I mean, sometimes they're not even reciting it, because they make so many mistakes in the words/pronunciation. Sure, Walla Walla, you should always go if there's keertan, but if there's two keertans, I would go to the one with better keertanees, because it does make a difference.

Yeah Kirtan is Kirtan but some guys sound like a cat being swung around by its tail.

I asked the management to invite a Hazzori Ragi{Granthi} I met in Washington Guru Ram Das Gurdwara and he said no but we pay this guy that sux and couldnt hold a tune in a bucket. So instead of paying for good Kirtanee he uses the money for "other" things that the sangat doesnt even see. To me paying this guy is a waste of money cause Id rather hear kids just learning to play Kirtan do "Bole so nihal,Sat Sri Akal" over and over again.

Well these days everyone is busy working and the specialists dont have anyother support to keep with their study of Naad Kirtan.

You can tell the ones who are professional to the ones who do it for free.

But yes, it should be free but to have really good kirtan you have to everyday do Kirtan for hours.

true what you sayin, but you gota luk at it like this, those kirtanees have families and houses to support and run aswel, so if wanting to become professional like pritam singh said, it takes time, full time employement isnt possible, so these people still need finance to run there homes.
