hygenic reasons more than anything that what i can think off, i m sure you will get responses like oh if you share food with non amritdharis your naam kamai(acculmation of meditation) will get sucked out as well as if that was some sort of mechanisim.

But surely if we are all equal in the eyes of God and Guru, then there is no difference other than who is Gurmukh and who is Manmukh?

Surely by deeming others as impure, you make yourself impure by thought alone?

i had disscussion wid my friend he is from uk .... he said its brhamanwad and gurusahib could never ever order some thing like that .....

Hmm maybe their is a physically optimal state that one can achieve where they can have their mind think of Waheguru the most. I have heard some people say that eating too much is bad and sleeping too much is also bad. I have noticed that when I eat too much I cant think and I feel really sleepy (I notice this a lot amongst the people I work with and myself after eating lunch ). I have also noticed that if I wakeup too late most of my day is waisted.

I think your mind has to be fully alert in order to properly focus your mind on the Guru.

I think Amrit-tharies are probably trying to keep their body as healty as possible and we shouldnt take offense to it. (also its annoying when other people tell you what to eat and what not to, so may be they find it easier to say no thank you then saying you shouldnt be eating that)

a non-amritdhari person may be a tobacco user, meat eater, intoxicant abuser etc.

there i no difference if an amritdhari eats from his own plate or from the plate of another amritdhari because they should both be highly disaplined and folow the same rehat. they are sibling of the same father Guru Gobind Singh Jee Maharaaaaaj.
